Paula + Angie are National Recording Artists and are a dynamic mother and daughter duo that share
their love and passion for God's word through music – Traditional Gospel, Southern Gospel,
Contemporary and Hymns. They are being considered for the 60th GRAMMY® Awards in the
categories of Best Gospel Song of the Year, Best Arrangement w/ Vocals & Music, Best Producer (non-classical) for their single “Where Do We Go.” They’ve also been considered for the 47th GMA Dove Awards ballot in 2016 for their fresh arrangement on the Andraé Crouch classic, "Soon & Very Soon", in the category of Contemporary/Urban Recorded Song of the Year. In 2017 they were nominated for the 2017 Rhythm Of Gospel Awards - Traditional Song of the Year, CCM Christian Song of the Year, Alternative Christian Song of the Year and Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year (Angie) and the 2017 T.I.M.A./Prayzefactor Awards for Traditional Gospel Group of the Year and Urban Contemporary Group of the Year. In 2015, they were named Prayzefactor Awards Traditional Gospel Group of the Year.
Paula Greene and Angie Greene Gray live in North Carolina with their families, and they decided in 2013 to come together with their vocal gifts as Paula + Angie. Paula sings soprano with Angie on alto—each with her unique style—but the blend, they say, is “truly a God thing.” Until 2014, Paula & Angie had spent close to 18 years as featured soloists with the Wilmington Celebration Choir and toured about 75-100 dates annually. During their time with the Wilmington Celebration Choir,
they were afforded the opportunity to sing with such legendary gospel artists as Jessy Dixon, Lynda
Randle, Jason Crabb, Carman, Geron Davis & Kindred Souls, The Hoppers, The Talleys, The
Collingsworth Family, The Allen Family, Brian Free & Assurance and Karen Peck & New River, in addition to appearing on INSP-TV annual "Campmeeting" event.
In 2015, God began opening "huge doors" of opportunity for Paula + Angie - they were signed to Lamon Records out of Nashville TN and their producer was GRAMMY® nominated and Dove Award winning artist, Dave Moody. They also toured around 50-60 dates in this inaugural year of being signed to Lamon Records, with an expected 100 tour dates in subsequent years. Other notable appearances for the duo include “Babbie’s House” on WATC-57 TV (with host Babbie Mason), Franklin Graham Crusade (background singers for Lynda Randle), Dove Awards Prayer Breakfast, Stellar Awards Showcase (sponsored by T.I.M.A.), Michael English & The Martins (opening act), Gerald Wolfe’s Hymn Sing, 47th Annual Dove Awards Choir (background singers for Steven Curtis Chapman, w/ Dove Awards Choir), Abraham Productions “Singing in the Sun” and Abraham Productions “Gatlinburg Gathering.”
Paula + Angie recorded their freshman EP with Lamon Records – a fresh arrangement of the Andraé
Crouch classic “Soon & Very Soon” and a Gospel/Blues infused version of “God on the Mountain” – which released on March 11, 2016.
The duo completed recording a new studio CD on their G2 Music Group label and it was recorded at the legendary Daywind Studios. The CD contains some original music by Angie, wonderful interpretations of several covers and was produced by Angie. The radio single - "Where Do We Go" - released on June 19, 2017 and the CD released to all digital retailers on August 4, 2017.
