My presentation is dependent on what the leader is looking for, but some examples of notable messages are:

My Name Is Judah - In this message, I am dressed in old testament garb and hold a staff. I tell the story of Judah from his perspective. Type "My Name Is Judah" in youtube and you can watch the message.

I Am A Pharisee- In this message, I am dressed as a New Testament Pharisee and tell my story of being a pharisee who helped get Christ crucified.

As a pastor, I preach weekly and have had the opportunity to study and preach on a wide variety of topics. Some series titles include:
Seinfeld- A series I did on the first part of the Book of John (also known as the Book of Signs) using Seinfeld clips.
Mythbusters- A series in which I busted myths about the Christian faith. A great one for outreach.
Daniel- A series on the book of Daniel
House of Blues- A short series from the book of Job.

At retreats, camps and conferences, I seek to understand the needs of the audience ahead of time by discussing the groups needs with the retreat leader. My messages are often entertaining and funny until everyone's guard is down and the Word of God can be laid before them. My experience as a speaker began as the chaplain of Camp Manitoqua in Frankfort, IL back in the early 90s. For two summers in my early 20s I built relationships with summer campers and preached messages to them. I was also a High School Bible teacher at Westlake Christian Academy for 1 year. In 1997, I became a youth pastor at Esperance Baptist Church in Edmonds, WA and honed my speaking skills further as well as planned retreats and mission trips. I also worked with Youth For Christ as a church partner for several years. But in 2006, I left the church I was serving to plant what is now New Community Bible Church.

As a retreat speaker, you can expect a speaker who will become a part of your event team and who will be fun to listen to and present the truths of Scripture.
