What to Expect
We can work with you to create whatever dreamscape you envision, while overseeing all aspects of your event. Here is how it works:
1. Visit our website ((link hidden)) Choose one of our event adventures, or you can create your own.
2. Tell us about your event, and we will tailor a completely unique event experience for you and your guests. We will work with florists, caterers, and lighting designers, and others to transform your venue into the dreamscape of your imagination, accented with our unique hand- crafted props. We also offer extensive online pre-event guest support. On the day of the event, our team of actors and innovative performers will lead and support an incredible custom designed interactive adventure for you and your guests.
Paidia Events is a brand new theatrical event design company that offers both traditional event planning services and live immersive theatrical experiences. We craft original adventures, quests, mysteries, and encounters for your weddings, historical events, private parties, and corporate gatherings.
Paidia's Artistic Director and founder Sharon Penz has been producing, creating, and performing original theater, dance, and events for the community for over 20 years. Her unique approach to event design blends her expertise in production management with her skills in creative visioning. Sharon is the recipient of local and regional grants for her original work, and was selected as a NYFA MARK Bootcamp artist in 2013. She has performed, choreographed, directed, and conceptialized work for companies throughout the Hudson Valley region, and is the recipient of a number of grants for her original work. Sharon founded Paidia in the summer of 2017, at the urging of guests from her previous events. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring her creative expertise to new audiences outside of the traditional theater setting.
Paidia is named after the Greek Goddess of Play; an invocation of the imagination and recognition of the importance of immersive, interactive experiences within Paidia events. Our events are more than entertainment, they are completely unique three-dimensional experiences that you and your guests will never forget.
Paidia’s mission is as follows:
To create beautiful and unique experiences that bring participants together in meaningful ways to commemorate and celebrate.
To enrich the local community by bringing theater/dance performers into non-traditional spaces.
To provide opportunities for guests to participate in creative role-play.
To support local artists, dancers, and actors by providing paid performance opportunities and to use local artists, merchants, and materials whenever possible.
Additional Booking Notes
We request green room space with access to electrical outlets for events that require more than two performers, in order to allow for costume changes and prop preparation.
