With searing accuracy, sensitivity to the text, and gorgeous depth of tone, Natalja (or Natasha, or just "Nat") Sticco gave her first of many solo performances in the sacred music program at St. Adelaide Parish with a stunning rendition of "Et exaltavit" from the Bach "Magnificat" on Saturday, December 22. Since then, she has been helping out with choral and solo work, easily jumping from alto to soprano when needed, effortlessly sight-reading everything from Lassus and Scarlatti to Mendelssohn and Howells, in any of a number of languages in which she is fluent. Most importantly, she is an absolute delight to work with, warm and encouraging with the amateurs in my various choral groups, exuding a refreshingly playful humility to shroud her formidable talent and intellect. Boston, we are lucky to have this new mezzo in our midst!
Response from Natalja Sticco • Mezzo-Soprano:
Thank you for such kind words, Michael. Your direction makes it easy and such a wonderful experience.
I had the pleasure of enjoying Natalja's performance at a private event on St. Patrick's Day. She was absolutely angelic, with a voice as good as it gets. Perfectly awe inspiring.
