What to Expect
When playing for a ceremony, I arrive one hour before the event. I play a minimum of 30 minutes of prelude music. Specific music is provided for the mothers/grandmothers, wedding party, bride, special music during the ceremony, and recessional music.
My fee is a flat fee and includes travel.
If playing for a reception or special event other than a wedding, I have a two hour minimum. I perform for one straight hour, take a 10 minute break the finish playing for another 50 minutes.
Nancy began her musical training at the age of 5 on the piano and began harp studies at the age of 10. She studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of music during her junior and senior high years before attending Bowling Green State University of Ohio under the harp instruction of Ruth Inglefield. She furthered her education with master harp classes with Professor Emeritus, Pierre Jamet from the Paris Conservatory of Music.
Nancy began her professional career as the salon harpist for the Salvi Harp Company of Italy, the leading manufacturer of harps in the world today. She spent fourteen years as a freelance harpist in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas performing with orchestras, opera companies and churches. For seven years Nancy was the harpist for the television program The Hour of Power, which has been seen world-wide. She moved to the Branson area in 1992 where she has performed with Wayne Newton, Tony Orlando, John Tesh and Dino Kartsonakus. Nancy has over forty years of professional orchestra and performing experience.
Nancy is the founder of the White River Trio which performs throughout South West Missouri and Northern Arkansas. She maintains a private harp studio, and harp showroom for the Salvi Harp Company.
