Na Gaels has been performing Celtic music together since 2006. The base ensemble of four musicians includes Charles May on fiddle/mandolin, David Yates on accordion/rhythm guitar, Gerard Rohlf on lead guitar, and Richard Henry on bodhran. Each member has over 25 years of professional performance experience in diverse musical styles from classical to jazz and folk. About half of any given performance consists of foot-tapping dance tunes, primarily jigs and reels; the other half consists of Celtic songs from the beautiful to the bawdy. Often a fifth member joins to add female vocal leads to the mix.
Na Gaels performs acoustic instruments with amplification. The band can provide the PA system or provide a spec sheet for technical staff providing sound.
