One of the things that made me hire Chris Williams was his blunt honesty. From the getco, he told me what would and would not work well at my wedding due to size of party and venue layout. He steered me in a less expensive direction because he has experience and could tell me what was best for my particular situation. I knew right away that he was an honest man that was running a reputable company. Not only was he extremely easy and pleasant to work with (via email correspondence), but the musicians were amazing for the ceremony. We went with a guitarist and violinist and all of the guests complimented how beautiful and original the music was. I was beyond thrilled with the services that Chris and Musicians Services provided and I would absolutely hire them again for another event in a heartbeat!
Thanks for helping make my wedding day as perfect as it was!
Chris and the rest of the musicians did an incredible job and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. Chris made it incredibly easy for us to select the specific pieces for the ceremony and then for the cocktail hour and reception they played various pieces from their repertoire. All of the guests commented on how perfect the music was for the ceremony. As a musician myself I know that it is not easy to accommodate last minute changes and adjustments but everything was managed professionally and smoothly which on the day of a wedding is all you can ask for. I did my research before selecting Musicians Services, they were competitively priced and exceeded all expectations. I simply cannot recommend them highly enough. If you are looking for a string quartet, go with them you will not be disappointed.
I've had the pleasure of working with Chris and his network of talented, classically-trained musicians on several occasions through my company when we occassionally engage musicians to enhance our holiday guest experience. With a top-tier musical education, Chris' performances have always exceeded expectations. He always makes sure to understand our needs and takes a proactive, professional approach from start to finish. I intend on engaging his services for any future opportunities and would recommend him to anyone for any occasion.
Musician Services were a delight to work with. From the get go, they were extremely responsive and great natured when it came to questions regarding the services they provide, before and after we booked them. They had no issues playing the music we selected for our ceremony and even coached us in the best way to incorporate the music. We booked a String duo and they arrived well before the ceremony started to prepare. The Ceremony music was great! They are real PRO's and I couldn't recommend them more!
I had worked directly with Chris, of Musician Services, to help organize live music for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Chris was very patient while working through a few iterations of live music combinations. We ended with a violinist and acoustic guitarist which was a perfect combination. Once that was decided Chris was very helpful in helping us select the songs and styles of music that would be performed during out event and was open to specific song requests that we had which integrated perfectly into our ceremony.
Being fairly busy with pictures etc on the day of my wedding I only had an opportunity to hear Chris and his duet partner for a limited amount of time but what I heard was excellent. Otherwise though I heard nothing but praise from my guests regarding the music during both the ceremony and the cocktail hour.
I would not hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone looking for live music for any event as it was clear he and his team have the professionalism and versatility for any type of event.
We're very glad we went with Musicians Services for our ceremony and cocktail hour! For the bridal party processional, we wanted a piece that was not listed on their website, and they were very happy to accommodate (and played it beautifully as well). They take a couple days to respond to emails, but other than that everything was fantastic. Would recommend to other couples!
Chris Williams' team for our string quartet was incredibly professional, easy to work with, and the perfect addition for our ceremony. The music was exactly how we wanted it to sound. He was very honest about what is a 'good sounding' song for the instruments - which I really appreciate!! Always responsive, it really made our ceremony that much more special. Highly recommend!
Chris and his quartet were everything we needed to make our reception perfect. They sounded great, were pleasant to deal with and flexible in dealing with our requests. We would recommend them to anyone.
Chris williams represents for us professionalism, beauty and romanticism.
On the day of our wedding, Chris and Musicians Services promptly accompanied with their chords to our guests and during the ceremony adding the magic touch to make this occasion the most memorable for us and our family.
Prior communication with Chris and Musicians Services flow in the way most specific and friendly.
Without prior knowledge, Chris made me feel like family, properly suggesting the musical selection of our wedding.
Chris was pleasant to work with from the get-go and he delivered beautifully on the day of our wedding. We hired him as a solo violinist for our small, intimate wedding in Central Park and loved it!
Thanks so much Chris for the beautiful ceremony / cocktail hour music at my wedding on August 2nd. You and your musicians were just perfect, from being extremely responsive with all of my questions in advance and helping with the song selection ahead of the wedding, to your beautiful playing on the day -- you guys didn't miss a beat, I'm so happy I chose to use you for my string trio!
a string quartet for a proposal. short yes. but lots of moving parts, like location, timing, rain or shine, .... was all up in the air till just 24-48 hours prior to "event".... chris was knowledgeable too about local laws about playing outdoors which turned out to be a big part of our coordination efforts. everyone was on time (early actually), dressed smartly, played perfectly. a very good business he has going. If I ever needed music again, I'm sure I would use his company.
Working with Chris was so easy! He was honest, friendly, and prompt. I actually requested 3 strings and he told me 2 would suffice just so I could save money. His staff is professional and kind! Book them!
I used Chris Williams and his company "Musician's Services" for my May 2014 wedding. Chris was reliable, honest and professional. He was also one of the more affordable musicians I came across. The violin and cello duo he provided was the perfect touch to my ceremony. I highly recommend him and his company!
Chris and his team were really easy to work with and have a large repertoire of music. They were able to learn one song in particular that I really wanted as I walked down the aisle and they performed it really well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a string duo for an event. They were on-time, professional and definitely talented.
I booked Chris from Musician Services to play his viola at our small, intimate elopement in Central Park, New York. Chris was absolutely amazing. He was quick to respond, kind, professional, and super talented. He arrived early for my ceremony (even though I was late) and he played every song I asked him to play, even a hymn which was not on the "recommended" song list. It exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier with the result. I didn't even get a chance to thank him after the ceremony, as we got busy with pictures. But Chris MADE my small ceremony. Our ceremony felt very special because of the elegant music and I got teary with each song. Thank you again, Chris! We were so extremely happy with everything. I highly recommend Musician Services if you are looking for quality musicians for your event.
Musicians Services provided a string quartet for a recording session. The players were all talented, professional, punctual and played beautifully.
Response from Musicians Services:
Thanks Nefertite! Was a privilege to contribute to your beautiful film!
Chris was so wonderful to work with. He came and played violin at our wedding in Central Park in Fall of 2013. Our wedding was small and having him there to add a musical touch was really special. Would recommend him to anyone!
Chris and his colleagues played for our wedding and it was gorgeous. We walked down the aisle to one of my favorite songs and it turned out perfect. I felt he was fair with pricing for the caliber of his service and we couldn't have been happier.
We hired a string duo for our wedding in Central Park. The experience was so smooth and perfect and we got great feedback on the music. The music really helped make the day!
The string quartet that came for our wedding was so excellent. They were prompt, professional and really kind people. The music was exactly what we hoped for!
Chris played our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at the Boathouse in Prospect Park. Chris was great from the start. He helped me select the proper ensemble for the size of our event. They were prompt and played all of the selections my wife and I made before the event. They also came to the rescue when our DJ had trouble with his equipment, agreeing to play past the contract time. I would highly recommend Chris. He is very organized and professional. Hiring him was a great decision. Having the string trio really added to the ambiance of our wedding. All of our guests really enjoyed their music.
We hired Chris and his team to play at our wedding this past summer. Chris responded all of our questions immediately and walked us through the wide music selection for our wedding. They were extremely flexible as we had asked them to play at the temple and then had them move to the restaurant in Central Park to play at the cocktail hour. They were very pleasant, on time, played beautifully and left a wonderful impression with all of our guests. We are very thankful to Chris and his team... you are not going to find better professionals to play at your event. We highly recommend them!
I always dreamed of a string quartet for my wedding, and I was so pleased with the gorgeous music Chris and his musicians provided for my wedding. They were very punctual, kind and totally professional. I would be very confident to recommend this service to anyone!
Chris was fantastic!! Professional, on time, super responsive via email, not to mention gifted at violin. We asked for a little GaGa at our wedding ceremony and he nailed it. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thanks for making the day extra special, Chris.
Chris made our wedding ceremony perfect! As huge Lady Gaga fans he played her music during the bridal party procession & the finale. It was memorable for both us and our guests. He was so helpful and accommodating knowing we wanted to go outside the box. Extremely talented & great to work with! Don't hesitate, go with Chris!
Musicians Services provided music for our ceremony prelude, processional, recessional and cocktail hour. We chose classical music for ceremony and jazzier music for the cocktail hour. While my husband and I can not speak much about the prelude and ceremony music (the former we were understandably not present for and the latter was a blur given the anxiety of the moment), we heard glowing comments from our guests. We enjoyed the music during the cocktail hour and I was especially thrilled with one of the songs we requested from Moulin Rouge (as it inspired our wedding inscription). It was easy to work with Chris Williams, especially since we were from PA. Depsite working through email to coordinate everything, I did not worry at all that this component of our wedding.
So happy we found Chris!!! He was wonderful, and he's communications was extremely prompt. He's extremely talented!!!!
Chris was my favorite vendor to work with! I contacted him only 3 weeks before my wedding and he was able to accommodate beautifully in such a short time! We were glad to have him as a part of our day and I would definitely refer him to anyone for live music.
The music at our wedding was fantastic! I found Chris online, and after reading the reviews we knew he was the right vendor for our music. He helped us create a special program that he had never done for a bride and groom before, so it made us feel unique! The musicians were all kind and professional, and overall a great experience. Thanks!
We were so pleased with the music on our wedding day. Chris was always so quick to reply to all of our questions, and made everything smooth and easy. He played fabulously and we couldn't be more pleased with this vendor. Definitely would refer to others!
Chris was one of my favorite vendors to work with. He was so kind and helpful during the whole music selection process. He helped us coordinate a unique program for our music and it was wonderful. The other musicians were very professional as well. I absolutely would recommend this service to any other bride!
It has been a pleasure contacting and working with them. Their help organising the event and his punctuality plus the best music played in a difficult place was determinant for the awesome surprise. I deeply recommend them.
From the first time I contacted Chris, he was professional and charming. Easy to communicate with and made me feel comfortable. When he and his musicians played for the event, they were extremely professional. The icing on the cake was how exceptionally talented this ensemble was. Incredible service and amazing musicians!!!
My experience with Musicians Services was phenomenal! I hired them to perform during my proposal and aside from playing beautiful music, they were extremely professional and accommodating. I highly recommend them for any event.
From start to finish, Chris Williams was helpful, prompt, creative, courteous, flexible, and professional. The beautiful music was a given--all of his musicians are top-shelf. They provided a wide variety of pieces of different styles for our potentially complex combination of cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception, and the live string music added such a perfect touch to the whole day..thank you! Will definitely use again and would highly recommend to anyone.
I usually don't write reviews, but after my experience with Musicians Services, I thought that now was the time to start!
I literally have no experience with Classical Music, but I wanted to add some extra class to my boss's birthday dinner and this was PERFECT.
Chris was extremely pleasant and easy to work with from my very first inquiry. I wish more vendors were like that!!
The string quartet played beautiful songs and it added just the right touch to the event (without being too loud!). I HIGHLY recommend Chris and his musicians and will definitely contact him the next event I'm supposed to organize. THANK YOU, CHRIS!!
I hired a string quartet that Chris put together for me for a recording session and they were fantastic! We knocked it all out so fast. Everything was seamless. Definitely recommend!
Musicians Services is the best you can hope for- professional, good attitude and helpful in every possible way. Highly recommended.
Not only is Chris Williams easy on the eyes, he is also easy to work with. ;) Even though I was a total bridezilla, he truly helped calm me with his experience in selecting and executing beautiful music at my ceremony and cocktail hour. I got tons of compliments and will be recommending him to several of my newly engaged sorority sisters. Love him!
Chris and another violinist played for our wedding and it was beautiful. He was really organized in helping us pick music and was always quick to communicate. He and the other violinist arrived early and did a fantastic job. Thanks Chris!
