There are tribute bands out there that really rock, but many seem to fall into the current trend of “and other”, adding three or more other bands into the mix in an effort to please everyone. We have all been around the block as musicians and have all played in our share of cover bands over the years. We have seen the trends come and go, and have been there, done that. We could follow the trend and cover other artists in the genre like The Allman Brothers' Band, Skynyrd, ZZ Top and SRV, all music we love, however, we wanted Mulennium to be a true tribute to Gov’t. Mule. To delve deep into the genius that is Warren Haynes, Matt Abts and the late Allen Woody is no easy task as musi

drew pechous – drums, percussion
Drew is a thirty-odd year veteran of the local music scene. He plays with a lot of passion and conviction, drawing on a multitude of musical influences from his past. Drew drives Mulennium with a six-piece Ludwig Classic Maple kit with Zildjian cymbals and a few percussion toys. The Ludwigs have that deep resonance and attack he has always thought was reminiscent of the seventies power trio sound. Drew was turned on to the “Mule” many years ago and feels this is a perfect opportunity at this point in his life to play music he totally enjoys with some very talented musicians who enjoy it as well.
Tom Hamning – bass guitar
Tom has over four decades of experience playing in blues, hard rock, southern rock, classic rock, progressive rock, christian rock, country, gospel and jazz fusion bands. His talent has placed him on stage with many national acts. He has extensive studio experience and also does session work for other recording artists. “It was Allen Woody that pulled me into the ”Mule” at first. After listening to the songs I was hooked.” Tom’s equipment of choice has been the Peavey Cirrus 5-String Bass, Schecter 5-String bass, Michael Kelly 5-String Acoustic Fretless Bass and occasionally his 4-String Alembic Bass. For amplification he uses an Ampeg SVT, Peavey T-Max, Peavey Nitrobass or Carvin amps.
Greg Mango – acoustic and electric guitars
Greg has an expansive musical palette, believing there are ingredients in every style of music upon which something can be garnered, learned, and enjoyed. He is often referred to as “perpetual motion” by friends and colleagues, because he is in a constant rocking state of musical motion. His love has always been with sports and the arts; dance, theater, magic, visual art, and music. Besides the Pipe Organ, the guitar, especially the acoustic guitar, music has always reached out to him, and he has been reaching out for it since he was knee high to a grasshopper. His passion for the instrument runs deep, and during good times and bad, that bond has never wavered. He’s still that 10-year old kid at heart, wanting to learn, and do more.
