What to Expect
A Morning After show consists of high impact, high energy music for your event. We take great pride in our work and strive to deliver the best performance possible for your venue. We play songs which are recognizable to all...and we don't have many slow ones! We want our audiences to be dancing from the first song until the last song. Typically, we will run 4, 45 minutes sets, with a 15 minute break in between each set. We are punctual, and we like to do our load in well before the show begins.
Morning After has the ability to be self-contained. We own all of our professional gear- from microphones to speakers to PA system and mixing board. It is no easy task setting up all of the equipment, however. If we need to provide the equipment, we will ask for an additional fee to set up and operate the equipment during the performance. This fee is for the intensive labor and the transportation costs associated with set up and tear down. We have enough equipment to set up large outdoor venues, and take great pride in our sound.
We are easy going people, low maintenance during our performance, and treat our event planners and venue hosts with the utmost respect. We will never do anything to discredit the venue in which we play. We understand that we are working for the venue manager, and we will always be on the manager's schedule and deliver a performance that he/she will be proud of. We always want to be invited back!
It's funny how like minded musicians will find each other. Morning After began in Jerry's garage; friends would gather for "jam sessions" just to have a good time. After a few sessions, Jerry and James began to contemplate the idea of putting a band together and getting back into the vibrant and exciting music scene that exists here in Washington State. Robert was added, and soon after Keith was on board. It did not take the talented members of Morning After long to gel, and the rest is history! The members of Morning After are just four guys who grew up on, and love the music they play. All four members of Morning After are fathers, husbands and have full time jobs. We play because we love music and the feeling it gives not only us, but others as well. We strive to give our audiences our very best....and we love involving the crowd in our shows. When the audience is having a good time, we are having a good time.
Jerry Shore is our vocalist. He is originally from Alabama, and spent 21 years in the United States Army, which is how he ended up landing in Washington State. He is a father to six children, and enjoys riding motorcycles and getting tattoos. One interesting fact about Jerry is that he is the only male in the state of Washington to manage a shelter for abused women and children! Jerry began playing guitar and singing almost 30 years ago, and has performed at various locations throughout his life. Major influences for Jerry include Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and 3 Doors Down.
Robert McFadden is our drummer and keeps us all in time! Born and raised in Aberdeen, WA, Robert now lives in Olympia, WA. Working as a lead carpenter and remodeling specialist by day, Robert is a BEAST beats master on his drum kit by night. Robert cherishes his family time, and is an outdoor enthusiast. Robert absolutely loves the music scene and supports all local musicians by co-hosting open mic nights and open jam sessions at a local venue in Olympia, and volunteers to provide drums and percussion to local artists in recording studio sessions. Robert also donates his time to helping out in local homeless shelters, giving back to his community. Robert has over 34 years of drumming experience, and one interesting fact about Robert is that he performed as a drummer for a group of young musicians who, at the time, were an unknown group of boys with a weird new genre of music. This unknown group would later be known as Nirvana! We are very lucky to have this talented man as our drummer!
James Erbele is a professional bass guitar player that started out playing in the Mid-80’s. His influences are wide due to the broad styles of teachers at the South Bay School of Music Arts in Milpitas, California. He has played in bands that range from Southern Rock to Jazz. James also played in the Cal State Hayward Jazz band and furthered his broad range of knowledge by taking electronic music courses at Ohlone College. James taught at South Bay School of Music Arts while playing in an original rock band named Mercy Street. In the early 90’s he moved to Seattle and began playing in the original rock/grunge style band “This Damn Box,” doing live shows in the Seattle area for many years. James has also done countless other projects filling in for different artists in the Tacoma/Olympia area. Currently playing in the working band, Morning After, James brings his solid feel and great melodic fills, holding down the low end of this energetic 90’s rock band which brings 90’s Alternative Rock to the masses.
Dana Luxon Began studying piano at a very young age, developing into a classical pianist influenced by the works of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt and Debussy. He studied musical theory and traditional harmony, eventually becoming an accomplished musical composer and arranger. In the 1980's, he began performing professionally as a pianist, guitarist, bassist and a percussionist in rock, pop metal, country and small jazz ensemble bands. He has also performed in the United States Army band for 28 years. He has performed in numerous cities such as New York City, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Birmingham, Austin, Tucson, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. His influences on the guitar include Jimi Hendrix, Richie Blackmore, Tommie Lommi, Eric Clapton, Randy Rhodes, Eddie Van Halen, Adrian Smith, Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman. Dana brings an unparalleled element of musical expertise to Morning After.
Additional Booking Notes
Morning After has the ability to be self-contained. We own all of our amps, speakers, mixing boards and lighting. A stage would have to come from the venue. We do not require a lot of space, having played in very tight spaces before. We do, however, enjoy a little room to work!
Should we have to provide all equipment for the show, we would ask for an additional fee for set up, tear down and the transportation costs associated with hauling all of our equipment. Setting up and tearing down is pretty labor intensive, but is absolutely something we are willing to do! We want to put on the best performance possible for your event or venue!
