The musical career of Milena Aradski started in her hometown of Belgrade, Serbia, and has lead her on a journey all around the world. After obtaining a Bachelor’s of Music degree from University of Belgrade in 2008, she received The Catherine Royce Alderson Memorial scholarship for an Artist Diploma program at the prestigious Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Immediately after, in 2010 she became a recipient of The John Paul Music Scholarship for the Master of Music program at The Catholic University of America, in Washington DC, graduating in May of 2013.
Throughout her music career, Milena has been an active member of numerous orchestras. During her student years she served as concertmaster, assistant concertmaster, second violin principal, and section violinist. Starting with the University of Belgrade’s Symphony Orchestra when she performed at Belgrade’s “Kolarcev Narodni Univerzitet” Hall and Sava Centar, Royal Conservatory Orchestra when she played in Toronto Centre for the Arts and Koerner Hall, to CUA Symphony Orchestra which brought her to Carnegie Hall.
In 2006, she joined The National Youth Orchestra of Holland, and with them performed in prestigious concert halls in Holland, Belgium, and Luxembourg, such as Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. At the time, Ms. Aradski was also a part time member of The Belgrade Strings, a highly acclaimed professional chamber orchestra. In 2007, Milena was accepted into Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra (JMWO), and has since been both second violin principal and section violinist. With JMWO, now called The World Orchestra (TWO) she toured across Spain, Holland, Germany, Canada, China, Mexico, and South Africa and performed gala concerts at The Berlin Philharmonie, The Concert Hall of National Grand Theatre Beijing, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, and Auditorio National de Musica in Madrid. In August 2013, Milena joined TWO on the tour in which she had performed in the Festival of Pollença in Palma de Mallorca, Grachten Festival and Lowlands Festival in Amsterdam, as well as on a recording of an album of Michael Nyman Symphonies no.2 and no.5.
These days, Milena Aradski plays with several premier ensembles as both principal and section violinist in the Washington DC and Baltimore area. These ensembles include National Philharmonic Orchestra, American Festival Pops Orchestra, Mid-Atlantic Symphony, and Apollo Orchestra, as well as many others.
