What to Expect
Mike is a singer/songwriter from the North County of San Diego. His trademark is smooth vocals of fun original tunes, including popular covers from a variety of artists and genres spanning over 6 decades. His sound is compared to Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, and Paul Simon. Let's just say a little surf / meets folk / meets rock / meets pop. Mike has been performing at San Diego's finest wineries, resorts, and restaurants for the past 12 years. A rare gem in a sea of musicians.
Mike was born and raised in Connecticut before settling in San Diego, California in 1998. He began writing music in the mid 90's to pass time while traveling throughout the US as a Computer Programmer/Analyst - Consultant where he also taught himself how to play the guitar.
After Mike settled on the West Coast, he started performing at local coffee houses and open mics a few times a month beginning in August, 2005. He has since expanded his performing schedule to playing 4 to 6 times a month all over San Diego county.
Mike plays at many of San Diego's premier Wineries, Resorts, and Restaurants. He can also be seen performing at San Diego's yearly County Fair, random Street Fairs, and a few local upscale lounges. He is also hired to play many Private Events, Corporate Events and weddings throughout the year.
Mike’s sound has been described as that of Jack Johnson’s laid back soothing style, but if you ask him he'll say "I really have no idea. I've been influenced by so many different artists. I can't put my finger on it. You tell me! I'm just having fun."
Let's just say a little surf / meets folk / meets rock / meets pop.
Mike's first album 'Keep On' was released in 2006. After a few years of performing and promoting his first project throughout San Diego, he self-released his second album 'Enjoy the Journey' in 2009. Mike's 3rd album 'Good Morning Afternoon' is now completed and available for purchase.

June, 2010: Mike's music was used in an amazing independent documentary film about same-sex marriage. It chronicles one couple over the last 8 years as they have had to struggled to find ways to stay together, living legally in the same country. One partner is American and the other is German, and because they are gay the US does not recognize them as spouses with the right to legally immigrate in the German partner. So, for the last 16 years they have been moving around the globe, stringing together temporary solutions to their immigration-rights dilemma. It is a fascinating case, sociologically, and a heartbreaking one in terms of equality in America and human rights. The film is called "Excluded: Nowhere To Go". Watch the file at (link hidden)
