I have been an Elvis fan since I first heard him in the early 50’s and have loved him all these years! I first heard this young oh so talented Matt Stone at the South Florida Fair where he won a contest! I personally have met over the years many of the top ETAS , some of which were ULTIMATES already and some who have worked their way up to become the best in the business! I can honestly say that this young man has gotten better and better with every show, and is as good as some of the top guys already! He is definitely on the road to the top! He has the Elvis look, the moves, the personality and charisma that Elvis had with his audience , and that is amazing for a 16 yr old. I see him perform every week at the Islander tiki bar/restaurant on Singer island here in Florida and he captivates his audience every time ! I could go on and on, but it would turn out to be a “best seller book”! I can’t say enough about this young man! You have to see for yourself!
Saw young Matt tonight at a city function, he was performing. Afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting him for the first time in person. I’ve been on his youtube for a while and when I heard he was performing close by I had to go see him. He said he had just made this page and would appreciate a review. So my review is: Incredible!! The magic he is making on stage has blown my mind! Hire him, he will not let you down. He is the best ever, nobody can quite do the King like him. And how authentic he is blows my mind as well. Some guys sing the songs but obviously don’t really watch Elvis, they perform the songs more the way they want to more than the way Elvis did, wearing a very cheesy costume, doing the stereotypical “thank ya very much”. But Matt’s suits are beautifully crafted, just like Elvis’s elaborate outfits. And his moves are perfect. If I put a side by side of Matt and Elvis doing the same song, it’s be like watching a mirror. When Elvis leans over Matt leans over. When matt goes down and lifts his hand, Elvis does the same! The exact moment Elvis raises a note, so does Matt. There is nothing that can compare to Matt Stone The Prince Of Rock n Roll!
I HAVE SEEN HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of Elvis Tribute Artists in my day, and none compare to the natural magnetism of Matt Stone!!!!!!!! I met Elvis numerous times in my life, one of the original fan club members, and I have seen Elvis live over 20 times! When I first saw Matt I said "You know I never thought I'd see that face again." This really will depend on the venue. For smaller shows like private parties, we supply everything, the audio system, the microphones, even lighting if specially requested! The only thing we need is a power outlet! All equipment will be accounted for! We even use the same microphone's Elvis used live on stage, to ensure maximum authenticity!
But for larger shows, such as theaters or halls, a little more is required. Usually theaters will supply their own audio systems, so we like to use those because they are already installed and ready for the room. Lighting is also installed already, so we use stock lighting, and if enough time is planned with a light operator, we can establish cues for certain songs, such as color washes and strobe lights to better enhance the illusion of Elvis. We will always bring our own mics, because we usually use the original Elvis mics. And of course the suits or jumpsuits will be brought as well.
The most common tech question we get is "Do You Have A Band?"
Matt Stone has worked with Elvis Show Bands on many occasions, that are professionally trained to match the exact sound of the TCB Band for the most authentic, tight sound. But these bands come at a cost. They are not local musicians, they are some of the best in the country, even the world. Their travel expenses need to be covered, as well as the price of paying a sometimes over-ten piece band, complete with backup singers and sometimes even a horn section! The band charges us in between $2000-3000 for a show, plus expenses and accommodations, and they require more sound equipment. So the band can be arranged if it is needed, but they will be a lot more pricey than just Matt.
Matt usually works with professional backing tracks, that sound incredible! The only time a band is necessary is if it is a very wide stage that needs more of a show case behind him!
Matt Stone can perform over 500 songs, and will create a set depending on what kind of show you want, whether it be a '50s Elvis show, a movie Elvis show, or a Vegas Elvis Show (most popular option). In the Vegas-On Tour era Elvis Show, there is a very wide variety of set lists that are possible, so even if you have him perform there multiple times, the sets will be different!
