Hearing the vocals without instrumental backing brought forth the richness and fullness of the harmonies. So wonderfully organic, I loved it. I found myself romanticizing about an era that I was too young to experience......... Street corner doo wop, imagining myself walking up to a doo wop group on the east coast and hearing those harmonies, blending right in front of me, in all it's human purity.
Response from Marv Rosenberg's Safaris:
Hi Gary.......Thank you for taking the time to write this articulate review. Really like the image you painted with your words of "street corner doo wop." It is, after all, how doo wop got its start. It is very nice that you apparently appreciate the history and romance of this pure form of music. And so glad you liked our group.
