Depending on what you want to work through as an audience, Liz looks forward to sharing her experience around mental health and resilience from the lessons learned in her personal and/or professional life.
Drug Addiction may be a safer conversation than Politics (sad to say), but we as a society need to work through both in order for us to get through our journey. When we avoid confronting the underlying issues, bad situations only get worse.
We are in this together, and we all have the ability to choose.
During the early hours of August 14, 2016, Liz's life was permanently altered when her Spirit Partner Chris Barry succumbed to a lethal overdose. They just saw each other a few hours before. He was getting ready to watch a pre-season game with his friends, and they made plans to catch up on Monday to work on their business planning. What do you do when those you love don't make it to the morning?
Liz Matory is now speaking out on what it's like to live through loss. By sharing their story, one more person may choose life instead so more loved ones can heal together. Far too many people are knowing what it's like, but maybe this could be when we turn the corner.
Liz is also available to serve as a conservative commentator and leadership trainer.
She received her BA from Columbia University, a law degree from Howard University, and an MBA from the University of Maryland, Robert H Smith School of Business.
