What to Expect
Whatever I'm booked for, I always work with couples and clients to design the perfect folky, acoustic playlist tailored to their tastes and the needs of their event. I will send you samples and a complete song list to choose from, and I can offer suggestions and guide you through the planning process. My primary focus is on traditional and contemporary folk music, but I also cover a growing list of pop, classic rock, indie, country and Americana songs from the 1950's onward, as well as the standard classical wedding pieces. You can have me focus on one genre, or have me mix it up and play a little of everything. I'm also happy to learn and arrange a song that isn't already in my repertoire, just for you.
Depending on your preference, I can sing and play guitar and/or bouzouki, or I can play all instrumental guitar arrangements. I primarily perform solo, but I can also coordinate 1-2 Irish musicians (fiddle, flute, whistle, concertina, etc.) to play with me if you're looking for a group sound.
I'm happy to play as a featured performer or as background music. With my sound gear, I can handle events with up to 200 attendees.
To book, we can discuss everything by email, over the phone, or in person. For some bookings, such as weddings, corporate events, and gigs far in advance, I will make us a contract and request a deposit. I can provide an invoice and a W9 if needed.
On the day of I'll arrive 1-2 hours early, dressed professionally and ready to set up sound equipment and go over details with you or the coordinator. Then finally, a professional performance of the songs and styles we've planned that will please you and your guests!
