Influences & Inspiration
Anita Baker is one of my favorite singer/songwriters. Her lyrics and compositions reflect personal experiences that many can relate to as well as feel during her performances. Toni Braxton is another vocalist that I admire. The deep sultry tone of her voice ripples under my skin. And, I would be extremely remiss and embarrassed if I did not include Bruno Mars. (Yes, I am a Hooligan.) His energy combined with his vocal and songwriting talent and just having fun on stage is, for me, the reason why I decided to no longer ignore my desire to sing.
