My senior client missed the Highland Games in September. She was devistated. In an effort to recreate the experience I contacted Mrs.Webster. What a blessing she and her talented son were to Mildred.
They went an extra mile including a drummer and a dancer for the party. It was a huge success.
Thank you many times over.
Lezlie made our wedding day so beautiful and awesome! She arrived early and she has an infectious happiness about her. Picking the music was so easy and she sang the songs over the phone so I could get a sense of the type of song. Nice touch and lovely voice too! I could hear her playing outside and had a great seat from my window while waiting for the ceremony. I would recommend Lezlie to make a moment that much better. We loved it!
Lezlie did a wonderful job on the wedding processional.
On time! Played beautifully!
I recommend her to anyone having an event with a piper. The first sound of her warming up here pipes sent chills up my spine. BEAUTIFUL. This really meant the world to me to have a piper for my brother . I felt like his soul went to my father in heaven and he,s resting in peace now. Thank you so much Lezlie and the prayer was a special touch for mr for sure.
The bagpipes were a wonderful reminder of my dad's and our heritage at his funeral.
What a wonderful night!!!
Lezlie was amazing to work with...she responded to my request immediately, was early for the gig and we were late, and she waited in the pouring rain. Her music was so great and created the exact atmosphere I wanted. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
She was a total professional and came dressed in a highland skirt and vest...
Lezlie played the bagpipes at my father's memorial service in Maine last weekend. She was such a pleasure to interact with and a welcome addition with all of our family and friends. She is obviously a gifted musician, but her warmth and generous spirit are priceless. I hope that I get to visit with her and hear her music in the future.
Lezlie was timely, pleasant, thoughtful, kind and good at the bagpipes! We were laying my father to rest and she heard that it was on his birthday so respectfully asked us if we would like her to play the birthday song for my dad. She played requests after the service and even gave my nephew a lesson in playing the bagpipes. Lezlie was a ray of sunshine for us all!
What an excellent fit for our 3rd New Hampshire Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride & Ceremony. Three Nations (UK, US & Canada) One Ride. Gordon a British 25yr Army Veteran & having been the Queen's Sovereign’s Piper (Scots Guards, 1995-1998) was picked up in a coach (not the preferred coach), he then road within the Motorcycle Ride led by the NH ST Police Motor Unit to the NH State Veterans Cemetery. After the National Anthem was sung by the King Sisters, Gordon played God Save the Queen. At the end of the Ceremony Gordon played, leading us through the Memorial Walkway, first to the POW/MIA Memorial where a wreath was placed, then he continued on to the Dedication of the Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride, Bench. Gordon was very amicable and flexible without a prior rehearsal.

I hired Lezlie Webster for a family gathering after a funeral service. She arrived early and waited patiently until it was time to play. She came prepared with a variety of songs and also happily took requests. Lezlie introduced the songs to give us a little background about them. We enjoyed her playing and I would gladly hire Lezlie again.
What to Expect
From pastoral serene pieces for funerals or before wedding services to upbeat tunes as recessionals for a wedding, bagpipe music can be a mood changer for an entire group. Besides Highland Pipes, smallpipes can be played for a quieter version. Scottish, Irish music - either one or both. Specific tunes can be learned for special events. Adaptations of fiddle tunes or hymns can also be done.
Graduate of Institute of Piping, Glasgow, Scotland. Graduate EUSPBA, Piping Adjudicator, Fellow Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance, Former Highland Dance Adjudicator. I teach Piping as a course at Phillips Exeter and Andover, St Paul's School and Groton School. I also teach the NH Police Assoc Pipes and Drums and the NH PIpes and Drums Grade 4 and 5 bands. My school, the NH School of Scottish Arts trains solo pipers to compete at all levels as well as Highland Dancers and fiddlers. I perform and direct in Celtic concerts. I am one of the top professional pipers in the North Eastern US. At 60 years old I have spent my entire lifetime (and from 18 years old as a professional) in this field and have a very large repertoire as well as many experiences to draw from. I use Gig salad to get gigs - especially on weekends to help supplement my income.
Additional Booking Notes
Highland Pipes do not need a mic in general. Smallpipes do unless a very quiet setting.

Most Scottish or Irish Pipe tunes are on our lists. After 50 years there are not many tunes that I have not played.
With my children, fiddle tunes can be Irish, Cape Breton and Scottish...

|Marielle Webster||Fiddler, Highland Dancers|
Influences & Inspiration
My teaching and performing Piobaireachd was influenced by Donald MacPherson, Glasgow, Duncan Johnstone, College of Piping, Ed Neigh, Ontario Canada.
My fiddle background of tunes I attribute to Barbara McOwen and Alastair Fraser with inspiration from my two children who both play fiddle.
My Pipe Band experience began in Canada winning Gr 4 at 16 thanks to Archie Cairns. Jake Watson gave me further challenge with a Grade 2 band and then Worcester Kilties completed my Pipe Band challenges. I started the Boston Police Pipe Band, resurrected the Boston Fire Band and now teach the NH Police Pipe Band and NH PIpes and Drums, Grades 4 and 5.
