I can come to your event simply with my guitar in hand, or if need be I have my own PA system.
I was heavily influenced by the t.v. themes of the 70's, and Mike Post (S.W.A.T., The A-team, Mac Gyver, Magnum P.I., The Greatest American Hero, Hill Street Blues) was my idol. i am interested in the U.S. Space Program, and have written songs about it. But I have also written songs of romance such as Please Don't Tell Your Mother I'm A Romantic, I Feel So Sorry For My Shower.
I wrote Happy 100th Christmas Lubbock, Texas to commemorate Lubbock's Centennial Birthday.
I entered The CW Vampire Diaries First Bite contest with a song called Sire Bond. Although I didn't win I still had fun writing for it.
I don't have any cover songs prepared or recorded, maybe later when I can afford the licensing fees.
Born to Judy Gay Higginbotham and Tifton Weldon Holcomb on February 23, 1961, Lewis Bruce Higginbotham started playing the guitar at six years old and the piano while he was in High School. When he was in the eighth grade he wrote his first song under the pen name of L.B. his initials and his legal last name of Higginbotham which was changed when he was seven because he had been signing his schoolwork incompletely as Bruce H.
He attended Wayland Baptist University on scholarships for voice and composition, but had to drop out his Senior year after being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. He later attended the Licensed Vocational Nursing program at South Plains College at the behest of his mother and stepfather, Glenn Higginbotham. He graduated and passed his nursing boards but hardly felt comfortable as an L.V.N. He met both his ex-wife, and current wife as a nurse, thus making his career as a nurse bitter sweet. However, after three and a half years of working with his current wife as a nurse, doctors determined he could no longer work as a nurse and he went on disability.
He continues to write music, and leads the worship at a church in Rockdale, Texas.
Can bring my own PA system if necessary.
