Kuya Kano is a World Inspired Spanish Guitarist, who has been performing enjoyable instrumental entertainment form many years. His 12 year experience of world traveling has captured European, Middle Eastern, Latin and Asian sounds that make his music a unique blend for almost any occasion. His former career as a Professional Yachtsman took him around the world where his international sound was eventually formulated. His musical style was first inspired in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico by a duet known as "Latcho and Andrea". Since then, his passion grew for the Acoustic sound of the Spanish Guitar, in which led him to compose the songs inspired by the many places of his travels.
Kuya Kano and Happy were fantastic! They are great entertainers and did a wonderful job for my husband's 50th birthday. I highly recommend them!
We had a very relaxed backyard birthday party for our father and hired Kuya Kano to play music for our guests. They all loved his music! He was early and ready on time. He set a wonderful mood for our event. He was kind and proffesional and just a wonderful birthday surprise enjoyed by all!
Kuya Kano's choice of songs was perfect, and I highly recommend their musical talents to others! I heard many compliments from event attendees. Their music very much livened up the exhibit area and immediately caught visitors' attention. The music sounded great when the place was packed and even when we were beginning to clean up.

About Kuya Kano:
Kuya Kano is a unique musician who has been performing Spanish guitar for many years. Although Kuya Kano began studying and performing music in the United States, his career as a Professional Yachtsman took him around the world where his international sound was eventually formulated. His musical style was first influenced around (phone number hidden)4 in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico where a duet known as "Latcho and Andrea" conducted a Gypsy Flamenco performance on the yacht he was working on. From that point on, his passion grew for the Spanish Guitar and Flamenco style.
From Mexico, Kuya Kano continued to travel to places like Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, and in Asia. In the Philippines, he was tagged with the name Kuya Kano because of the two words he continuously heard himself being referred by; "Kuya", a Tagalog word defined as respectfully addressing one as "big brother", and "Kano", referring to a person from the United States.
Kuya Kano then returned to the U.S. and retired from the Yachting Industry, released his first album in 2012 called "Imagine the Life". The collection of songs were inspired by his 10 years of traveling around the world, each song representing a special place and time in which the people and place inspired the title given to the song. In 2013 He continued that musical journey with his second album, "Places I Dream Of".
Since then, Kuya Kano has performed at many different venues, including country clubs, yacht clubs, restaurants, churches, community events, private venues and various public celebrations.
Performance History:
Over the years, the combination of Spanish, European, and other unique world inspired sounds have made Kuya Kano's music appropriate for many different occasions.
Aside from the many "Taco Parties" and Mexican and Latino restaurants, Kuya Kano has performed at as well as many Mexican and Latino venues, Kuya Kano has also performed at many country clubs, yacht clubs, private venues, marinas and even on board private yachts. His travels have led him to perform from the beaches of Mexico, to the waterfronts of Venice, and as far as the Asian nations of Macau and the Philippines. (Yes, he has performed at many venues in the United States as well)
His music has been featured in film productions such as the movie "Couple's Retreat" and the original soundtrack of the famous TV series, "Survivor". Most recently, he was featured on television in the Philippines (where his name was given) on the Ryzza Mae Show.
