What to Expect
Though I have a solid body of work, with topics ranging from activism and education to irreverent and sultry, I am a diverse and creative artist! My goal is to create the perfect work of art for any passion-project you may be dreaming of. Expect an adaptable, conscientious writer -- expect a captivating, unforgettable performer. I truly love what I do, and it shows!
Kendall “KNDY” Josey is a multi-faceted, powerful and oftentimes eclectic artist based in the Orlando area. She blends her many talents as a writer, poet, actress and orator not only to captivate, but also to initiate thought amongst her audiences. She is a devotee of knowledge and human-kind, in many cases weaving education and activism within the seams of her pieces.
KNDY’s upbringing and creative influences represent an ever-flowing well from which she draws invaluable inspiration. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, her experience as an Army brat helped shape her into the free-spirited, cultural chameleon that she is today. The dynamic artist was born in Washington, D.C., and from infancy to high-school, she was blessed to be raised in a motley host of environments, including Miami, FL, Alexandria, VA, Tunis, Tunisia, Lusaka, Zambia, Vancouver, WA and more. She is indeed well-rounded, but maintains her classic, old soul. KNDY’s notable influences include Erykah Badu, Teddy Riley, The Notorious B.I.G., Guns N’ Roses and Mel Brooks.
KNDY owes her dedication to her many passions to an expansive and tremendous support system, which includes her family, friends and collegiate poetry organization, Project: SPIT. To this day, she continues to draw upon their love, as well as an arsenal of experience gained from performing in musicals and showcases, attending art camps and composing numerous literary works. Her oeuvre ranges from formal speeches and academic articles to captivating scripts and soulfully-scribed songs.
Upon graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management, the 22-year-old student plans to hone her skills as a musician and speaker, touring across the United States and eventually overseas. A couple of KNDY’s ultimate desires are to design and own her own hotel and to host her own talk show.
Accompany the “legendary” KNDY as she continues to seek truth and embrace growth along her divinely-humanistic journey through womanhood. She is both humbled and honored to connect with you all in knowledge, in creativity and in love!

Influences & Inspiration
I believe that one's artistic taste can be an ever-morphing artistic puzzle. As mentioned in my bio, I have definitely been influenced by writers such as Erykah Badu, Teddy Riley, The Notorious B.I.G. and Mel Brooks. Additionally, I am enamored with the poetic works of Maya Angelou and my close friends, Shelby Birch and Simba Castaño. My musical taste is a sonic jukebox. I love music from Guns N' Roses and Pink Floyd to Alicia Keys and Frank Ocean.
