King's Cross is a contemporary Christian band based in the Savannah, GA area. The vision for King's Cross was cast in late 2008 and immediately a search for committed Christian musicians began. The goal was and continues to be, to bring the message of salvation to a lost and dying world, and also to encourage hurting Christians by meeting them right where they are. The band also carries a special passion for teenagers. as they believe that discipling and encouraging teens is the future of the world.
King's Cross played their first event in March of 2009 and they haven't slowed down since. They have enjoyed early success with multiple youth events, church concerts, and revivals. The band brings a good mixture of songs you will recognize and original music to the platform every time that God gives them the opportunity to play. Each member's desire is, that through the mighty Grace of a loving God, people will come to know Him and never be the same.
TECHNICAL RIDER Parking Requirements
• KING’S CROSS travels with two (2), full-size trucks, one (1) 8’x12’ equipment trailer and two (2) mid-sized vehicles. KING’S CROSS will need the ability to park vehicles adjacent to venue, allowing for load in and load out. During the show, KING’S CROSS will need nearby parking of their four (4) vehicles, plus equipment trailer.
Platform Requirements
• KING’S CROSS is very flexible with the area requirements where the band will setup and play. Please see the immediate stage plan below, for our recommended minimum dimensions and also our standard gear and band member location layout.
• Also, note KING”S CROSS PA top cabinets (3’ x 3’ footprint) and sub woofer cabinets (2’ x 4’, minimum footprint), will be in front and to the sides of platform/stage.
• KING’S CROSS is completely self-sufficient regarding instrument gear, micing, cables, stage wash lighting, fogger(s), sound board, and PA (includes subs and tops). We do not provide staging (please see our press kit for equipment list of our instruments, stage hardware, backline, input and sound gear).
Load-In
• Prior to KING’S CROSS load in, please have the stage/platform/floor area, clear of items which are not essential for the show (i.e. moveable pulpits and/or other on-stage furniture, as well as items not used for the show, which hinder the load-in and setup).
• KING’S CROSS requires a minimum of three (3) hours, prior to doors opening, to allow for loading of all gear, etc into the venue.
Sound Check and Run-Through
• In order to provide the best possible praise and worship experience for the audience/congregation, KING’S CROSS requires an un-interrupted sound check and run-through. In order to accomplish this, KING’S CROSS has found the best thing to do is to deter non-essential personnel from accessing the worship hall, or immediate area if an outdoor event. KING’S CROSS does, however, highly encourage the venue’s pastor(s) and technical team to be present, to help in the reduction of unforeseen issues at show time.
Show
• Please provide water on stage for band members during the show (preferably bottled).
• KING’S CROSS has found the best solution to channel any communication, other than song requests for the band, has been for the venue to provide the following minimum venue staff or trained volunteers (provided and trained by the venue) at the front of the stage/platform/floor area. This allows for the pastoral staff and/or appropriate venue staff to field any questions or requests, thus allowing for the appropriate venue staff to communicate with KING’S CROSS during the show:
o Performances for 1-150 persons, please provide a minimum of one (1) person, at the front of the stage/platform/floor area.
o Performances for 151-250 persons, please provide a minimum of two (2) persons at the front of the stage/platform/floor area.
o Performances for 251-500 persons, please provide a minimum of three (3) persons at the front of the stage/platform/floor area.
o Performances above 500 persons, please provide a minimum of five (5) persons at the front of the stage/platform/floor area.
• KING’S CROSS also requests the venue provide one (1) point of contact, authorized by the venue, to act as the sole point of communication, regarding any and all aspects of this contract, as well as, any possible concerns during load-in, show performance and load-out.
• The venue will provide the name and contact information of the venue point of contact at the end of this document in the provided area.
Load-Out
• KING’S CROSS requires a minimum of one and one half (1.5) hours after the end of the show, to break down all equipment, etc and load out into vehicles and equipment trailer.
Product
• Part of KING’S CROSS ministry is to provide product for sale. We offer many items of merchandise, ranging from T-Shirts, CD’s, necklaces, posters, etc. This allows His ministry to go home with those who have come to the event. It also helps KING’S CROSS by providing a way to continue to keep merchandise available by restocking, as well as, to generate a small amount for reinvestment into band gear maintenance or equipment upgrades.
• Because of this, KING’S CROSS requires an area of approximately 10 ft x 6 ft, to set up our product table. Please provide this space which is easily accessible to those who have come to the event. This is not only a place in which we sell merchandise; it’s also a place where event goers can talk with us, before and after the event. We have found that many enjoy meeting the band, hearing our individual testimonies and talking about the many blessings our Lord has given all of us.
Event Promotion
• We do not have many limitations of how you promote the event. KING’S CROSS is more than happy to offer digital files in which you can take to your preferred print company, thus saving your venue the concern of graphic design, etc. (KING’S CROSS does not pay for printing however, we only provide the digital file for you to use for print).
• What we ask is your event promotion be:
o God pleasing.
o That you have our website ((link hidden)) and our email (booking(link hidden)), be easily seen on promotional material and/or mentioned in any and all radio, audio or visual promotion.
• For event promotion, KING’S CROSS will also provide select digital recordings of our music. The venue will only use this music for the specific event in which KING’S CROSS is contracted to play and will not reproduce or copy by any means, our copyrighted music without KING’S CROSS prior consent.
Finances
• KING’S CROSS understands traveling expenses, venue size and resources of each event vary. Because of this, KING’S CROSS does not list a flat rate for our service. Depending on mileage to event, length of event, size of venue and resources, KING’S CROSS uses a sliding scale to determine the amount of our services to play individual events.
