Body bender and motion artist Katarina Danks (BendyKat) creates an artistry that blends beautiful contortion skills with technical contemporary and jazz dance choreography Her stage presence is eye-catching as she creates unique shapes in inverted ways. Her acts can be tailored to any site or theme, large or small scale. Having trained in Mongolian, European, and contemporary contortion styles, her acts, whether feature or ambient, will add an essence of elegance, prestige, depth, entertainment, and fascination to your event.

What to Expect
Katarina's performances can be tailored to any event type or theme. A typical routine is performed on and around a 36" round table, so a large space is not required. Her skills include extreme flexibility, dance, acrobatics, and handbalancing. She choreographs her own work and will work with the event planner to cater to his or her needs.
Katarina is an international performance artist trained in contortion, jazz and contemporary dance disciplines. She is a former student of Betsy Shuttleworth and performer for Ska von Schöning.
Katarina is known for her performance, technique, choreography, and control. Her performances are remarkable and capture the story each routine is telling. She combines her jazz and ballet training with the art of contortion to create works that showcase impressions of the music and movements.
In the past, Katarina has performed and demonstrated at the 2006, 2009, and 2016 ICCs , National Geographic’s NatGeo Amazing!, Royal Hanneford Circus, and more recently, at the 10th Annual Festival International de Cirque in Canada. Katarina also teaches a contortion program in Cape Coral, FL where she focuses on the importance of stretching safety. She is the Co-Director for Melody Lane Performing Arts Center in Cape Coral, FL.
