The Joshua Stone Band is an upbeat 3 piece band with vocals, guitar & harmonica, standup bass, banjo and mandolin. Featuring a wide wariety of music from Bluegrass to Blues, Country to Rock and Roll and much more. We utilize a drum machine on many songs which makes our music very danceable. I classify us as Eclectic Americana with crowd pleasing entertainment. One can find us on the internet by searching our name. Once there you may read about us and listen to our music. We also offer fine duet or solo entertainment. We have played regularly at The Point Hilton Squaw Peak Resort Phoenix and Handlebar J in Scottsdale. Please fill out the contact form I will get back with you, thankyou...

We are a band based in Phoenix Az and have played around the valley for over 40 years. The 3 of us pictured have played together since the 1970's. We are close friends and because of this when we get together we have fun and because fun is contageous, the audience always has a good time. Our music is so diverse we can usually shape it to the group we are playing for. Making it FUN has always been our answer to a great event. Mike Combest & Bill Anderson began in 1970 and in 1972 formed the 1st "Joshua Stone Band" and played together through the 1970's. By 1980 we did go seperate ways. During this time Bill was doing a solo Mike was raising a family. In 2002 Mike & Bill reformed the "new" Joshua Stone Band and began playing at The Point Hilton Squaw Peak here in Phoenix. In 2004 we added old friend Steve Thomas, recorded our 1st CD and continued playing together till 2012 when Steve had obligations with another band. We added Lee Gendvilas, an original member and now a permanent member. Lee is quite the musician, playing Banjo, Mandolin and Stand up Bass. Please search for us on the internet by our name as there is so much informetion on our website.
If we are supplying the equipment all we need is electricity (2 complete outlets would be desireable and one would probably work with our extension cords and multiplugs) The amount of space we need is 14 feet in width and 6 feet deep with a good path out front for people walking by. We have our own lights if needed. We can play in a corner of a patio or on a professional stage. We are flexible.
