From Hank to Hendrix, I deliver soulful renditions of classic singer-songwriter material. My niche is 20's blues and 70's folk rock. I cover Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, James Taylor, Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams, John Prine, and more. If you have a particular artist or song you want played, I will learn it quickly for your event. In addition, I write songs and compose music and can do so quickly for projects or special occasions. I have a friendly, funny and interactive style with my audiences. I'm great for restaurants that want good background music, house parties, weddings, and laid back club venues. Book now!

Gig Length: 60 - 120 minutes
I bring my own gear including acoustic guitar and amplifier (necessary for some venues), mic and stand, PA system, music stand, and CD's to sell. I take care of all setup and take down, which takes about 30 minutes for both, including a sound check. I usually come in, look at the space, make a decision about the best way to set up, do the set up, tune, sound check, then relax for a few minutes before I play. I play up to 1 hour 20 minutes before I take a fifteen minute break. I play up to two sets per night.
I began performing rock, folk and blues music as a child. At nine, I had my first "gig": playing "Wild Thing" on my electric guitar at a bar in South San Francisco. I love entertaining audiences and engaging them in witty banter between songs. I cover the artists that have inspired me most as a songwriter, so I've been playing many of these songs for as long as I can remember. Songs like "Old Man", "Moondance", "Angel From Montgomery", "Crossroad Blues" and "Built For Comfort" are etched in my soul and my fingers while I play. I have a resonant, bluesy voice that has been praised for its sweet and wistful quality (Kate West Reviews). Let me take your audience back to times of powerful, breakthrough songwriting to which they will want to sing along!
I require a space that leaves enough room between me and the audience. There doesn't have to be a stage, but there must be a designated place for me to play. I bring all my own equipment (see above). I require a chair, access to water and preferably a beer!
Old Man, Angel From Montgomery, Moondance, Harvest Moon, Like A Rolling Stone, Crossroad Blues, Built For Comfort, You've Got A Friend, River, Fairy Tale of New York, Vincent (Starry Starry Night), Sister Golden Hair, Harlem River Blues, plus originals.
Neil Young, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, John Prine, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, The Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Townes Earle, Pokey LaFarge, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, New Grass Revival, Hank Williams, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Robert Johnson, and others.
