What to Expect
Bartender – Extensive beer, wine and spirit knowledge. Let me create a signature cocktail for your guests!
Server – Setting tables, “Cocktailing” the room with trays of drinks and appetizers, maintaining and restocking buffet, delivering entrees, clearing soiled plate ware and glasses.
Event Planning/Set Up – With your direction, decorating and setting up the venue; ensuring all necessary equipment (tables, linens, chafing dishes, serving utensils, etc.) and proper amount of supplies (ice, plates, glasses, napkins, etc.) is on hand.
I have been in the Restaurant and Bar Industry for almost half my life. My first position was as a hostess for a small family owned establishment where I fell in love with the industry and learned the importance of exceptional customer service. I worked as a server and bartender at a popular restaurant chain through college and on weekends for the first few years after graduating to supplement my income. After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, I worked for Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, concentrating in retirement planning. There I was able to polish and elevate my customer service skills. I was laid off when the market crashed in April of 2009, but thankfully my restaurant experience was there to fall back on to pay the rent. After a few more years of bartending, I accepted a General Management position at a small neighborhood bar. I worked directly with the owner to design and complete a $300,000 renovation of the establishment, and created a full food menu and daily drink specials. The success of the business allowed us to open two additional locations, purchase a food truck and limousine for rentals. In 2016 I made the difficult decision to leave for a Bar Manager position with a rapidly growing casual dining chain due to the benefits, pay and opportunity for advancement.
I have never lost the passion for bartending. I truly enjoy every aspect of it, which brought me here.
