I love seeing people feel beautiful and expressed behind the lens of my camera. Most of all, I cherish their stories. I believe it is a reflection of an even greater meaning.
I’ve been taking pictures my entire life. My career has been blessed by many and I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help and endless encouragement from my family, friends, clients and colleagues. YOUR NATURAL LIGHT PHOTO SESSION EXPECTATIONS:
What if it rains?
Your deposit is a guarantee for your session. We will simply reschedule at no extra penalty.
All sessions include:
-location of your choice
-minimum of 30 + high resolution photos
-online gallery for sharing and printing
-printing rights
* up to 3 wardrobe changes.
Photo sessions are about 2 hours and fifteen minutes. We will meet at the selected location at the scheduled time, go over any special photo requests or needs you have, and then get shooting! We will do lots of different poses, backgrounds, and walk around our location to get new perspectives.
I like to capture the candid moments just as much as the smiling-at-the-camera moments. I’m happy to accommodate any fun posing ideas you have, or any props you’d like to incorporate. At the end of the session, I’ll answer any last questions and then we’re all finished! The following are a couple tidbits of information to make your photo experience more enjoyable:
-Please remember the weather. If it is hot, you may want to bring a water bottle; even something with natural sugars or electrolytes. Be sure to eat a good meal as I am learning people want to look their thinnest so less likely to eat enough.
-Please wear protective shoes, sunscreens and even some bug spray if you have it.
-Please feel free to bring any props you find fun (I’ve had people bring sunglasses, hats, bicycles, signs, malas, textiles, candles, sage, alter keepsakes, inspired heirlooms, bright scarves.)
-If you are planning a clothing change (s), remember it may need to be done in the car as many locations are remote.
-Please do not wear too much make-up - it is harder to edit out.
-As far as hair goes- if you wear it down, the wind will take it away so I encourage people to be relaxed about hair and make-up. I have your back and will smooth, lighten and glow it up for you!
AFTER OUR SESSION:
As soon as your session is over, I transfer your photos onto my computer with double backup, and begin editing. It can take up to 5 days. At that point, I will send you an email with your gallery link as well as ordering information.
My goal is to give you natural, timeless photography that captures your unique personality. That means through my editing process, my goal is to make your photos look as natural as possible while still making you look 110% your best. There are beautiful editing techniques out there, and they are changing all the time, however, I want you to look back on your photos in 50 years and be just as impressed with them as you are now. Just like fashion, editing styles become dated. But I feel that photos with natural colors, simple editing, and using light and color to capture beautiful photos, instead of heavy post-processing, will give you a priceless gift that will last generations. Through all that, I want to capture your real personality and true beauty.
Policies explained:
BOOKING Policy: For all regular sessions a 50% non-fundable session deposit is required to book and hold the date for your session and serves as a cancellation fee.
RESCHEDULING Policy:
Rescheduling due to weather concerns will be determined by Cute E’s Photography. In these instances, there are no additional charges associated to the rescheduling. Any other rescheduling will forfeit the previous deposit and a new deposit will be due for the rescheduled date.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
For regular sessions, client forfeits their session retainer and the 50% paid to book the session date will act as a cancellation fee. The fee can be credited towards a future session if the client reschedules the appointment by calling 72 hours prior to the date of session and re-booking at an agreeable date and time.
For events, if for any reason the Client cancels before the booking date, the Photographer will keep the the event retainer fee paid to hold the wedding or event date as a cancellation fee. Cancellation must be made in writing, signed by the contracted parties. However, if the client requires to change the booking date, I will do my best to accommodate and no cancellation fee will be charged as long as the new date is available and within five months of the original event date. Otherwise the new date will be subject to current rates if applicable. If I am not available for the new date, the original contract will be cancelled and subject to the cancellation policy.
If Jeana Marino Media as photographer cannot perform this Contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return the retainer fee to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the Contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer. In the event Jeana Marino Media fails to perform for any other reason, Jeana Marino shall not be liable for any amount in excess of all monies paid.
Why Photography?
My enthusiasm for photography began as a child. A few years ago, I started my media company for wellness entrepreneurs. When I asked what they wanted to express in their brand, they were unable to produce photos without having to pay hundreds to thousands for a headshot and service images. Well, I went to Best Buy, bought a camera and 2 lenses, a bag with an extra SD card. Downloaded Lightroom and just started the photography services on a prayer. In two months, my bookings were mounting to 3 sessions, even 5 sessions a week. Since then, attending classes, traveling with teachers and practicing every day as documenting lives has become my passion.
