No party is ever complete without a bellydancer! Janim’s joyful and engaging performance lends to any party a special aura of glamor!
Janim performs an exciting entrance with finger cymbals, a dramatic veil dance, a traditional, snakey baladi progression followed by an exciting drum solo to get the audience clapping, and ending with plenty of audience participation centered around the Guest of Honor and anybody else who wants to join in on the fun! Great for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, graduations, Sweet 16′s, country club and corporate events, restaurant performances, or just to add a bit of mystique and flair!
Need more than one dancer? No problem!
Janim performed a Belly Dance at my sister's wedding. We had almost 400 people in attendance and everyone was captivated by her. We received compliment after compliment. She was classy, graceful, and personable. If you've ever hired a belly dancer you know that being a good dancer goes beyond the dance moves. Janim connected to the music, the audience and made the whole wedding more fun and authentic! My whole (Lebanese) family was so pleased with her performance and presence at the wedding!
Janim has mastered a variety of Near Eastern dance styles, and is a natural performer, charming her audience not only with her skills--the ways in which she uses scarves is mesmerizing--but with her beauty, grace, and exuberant personality. She loves to dance, and it shows!

What to Expect
Janim's bellydance set will usually last between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the nature of the event. She will enter to lively, fast paced music either wrapped in a veil or she will have a veil floating behind her, or she will be playing finger cymbals. Her first number is to capture everyone's attention and to entertain you!
After that Janim will usually move into a more traditional number, perhaps a traditional baladi progression, or she may choose to show off her skill with a prop, like a veil, double veil, or cane. If you really like a particular number or prop that you have seen in other shows, feel free to make a special request.
Next up is typically a fun upbeat song, this is where a dancer will more heartily encourage audience participation. Usually the dancer will make an effort to get any guests of honor up to dance, sometimes she will include an impromptu dance lesson if some of the guests seem unfamiliar with dancing to Middle Eastern music.
At some point during the show the dancer will dance to a drum solo. The guests may want to keep dancing along, or they might want to sit back and admire their belly dancer showing off. At the end of her show the dancer will often put a short finale piece to wave goodbye to the crowd, thank everyone and then depart!

Influences & Inspiration
Love the golden era of bellydance found in the exquisite stylings of Soheir Zaki, Nagwa Fouad, Fifi Abdou, and Naima Akef. Also mesmerized by the stylings of Randa Kamel and Aziza of Cairo! I also follow the modern greats who have influenced me including up and comers, sherena of Ohio and Lisa Zahiya as well as the established Ava Fleming, Aziza of Montreal, Bozenka, and Saida of Argentina!
