I am a spoken word artist, emcee, writer, actor, author, and motivational speaker in the metro Atlanta area. I speak poetry and touch topics such as domestic violence, spirituality, self improvement and issues that will feed your spirit. My mantra is "iSpeak...L.I.F.E" or Lyrics to Implement Faith and Empowerment (LIFE). I will bring energy to your event. My words will make you laugh, think, cry, and reflect. I have iSpeak...L.I.F.E. bands to put on your wrist as a constant reminder to always surround yourself with positive energy. I have a passion for speaking to youth, and young men in particular.
JaeSun was absolutely wonderful. He arrived on time and we didn't have to babysit him. He came ready and had no demands. His skillset and his delivery were phenomenal. We had a mixed audience in terms of age and everyone....EVERYONE was able to relate. It's not often that Generation X can relate to spoken word, but his delivery was such that the messaging reached everyone. Book this guy!!!
I had the pleasure of booking JaeSun for the Howard University Bison On The Lake (150th Anniversary Celebration) at the Ritz Carlton on Lake Oconee. This was our inaugural event and we decided to create a Jazz/Spoken Word Chill Suite.
As with any event, we knew what we wanted from the event; and could only pray that the results were favorable. Prayers were answered. The event was a success and the talented JaeSun was outstanding as he entertained the guests with his thought provoking poems and spoken word. He was powerful in presence and soothing in delivery. His presentation was on point and he had the crowd in the palm of his hand.
So if you are considering JaeSun The Poetik Apostle for an event…you will be satisfied. He delivered above expectations.
Response from JaeSun The Poetik Apostle:
It's was more than a pleasure working with you. It was an honor to perform at such an amazing event with such amazing people. Your hospitality and professionalism was top notch. The venue was breathtaking and if there isn't anything that could've made this any better. Many blessings and Light!
JaeSun The Poetik Apostle proves himself to be master in the realm of spoken word. The finessed flow of his words are truly captivating and the stories behind them left our audience astonished. Not only is this a moving performer, but a great person to work with in terms of business - expeditious in communication, personable, and very professional. I hope to have a chance to work with JaeSun The Poetik Apostle in the future.

What to Expect
You can expect diverse subject matter that will fit any event. I pride myself in speaking on a broad range of topic that will tickle your funny bone, and make you think as well.
I come from a family of writers. My father, my uncle, and my grandmother are writers of poetry. At an early age I embraced writing. I became a recipient of the Young Author award in 4th grade and had a short story published. I went on the write a short play after high school that was made into an indie film. I've recorded songs, and performed at festivals, weddings, and shows around Atlanta and other cities. What you will expect from me is pure energy. I put a raw perspective on issues and bring it uncut. I have pieces ranging from spiritual to political, marriage, and self improvement. When booking, I'd like to know the details of the event so as to be prepared with the type of piece(s) I will be performing.
Additional Booking Notes
For more intimate venues I generally don't require a microphone, but for larger venues such as churches or schools I require a microphone. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks advance notice for planning and travel purposes. I am willing to perform at out of state events and venues as well.

Influences & Inspiration
I was influenced early on by Hip Hop acts such as Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Run DMC, and other rappers. That was my 1st influence as far as speaking in rhyme, which at the time I didn't know that it was in my gene pool anyway. I dabbled in rapping but it was my 4th grade teacher who had us writing in our journals each and everyday that allowed me to explore my imagination. Acts that influence me today are Nas, Common, poet Jon Goode, and any indie artist breaking the mold and daring to be different.
