I used Flylife staffing for my book launch event, and they truly added a touch of class to the atmosphere.
While my expectations where for them to monitor my food and beverage tables, they took it to the next level. They brought in serving trays and instead of my guess coming to the table they took the table to my guess they worked the room offering my guess finger foods and drinks, with a professional appearance, great attitudes and lots of smiles. They were very attentive and observant.

-What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After we learn the baseline details of their event we schedule a 10-15 minute call with a Staffing Coordinator. On the call the Staffing Coordinator will want to go over the agenda for the event so that when staff arrives they understand the flow of the event and will not need to take the client away from their guest for direction. After the agenda overview and questions the staffing Coordinator will email an electronic proposal and invoice with all discussed details to the client. We require a 50% deposit paid using our electronic invoicing system to secure the booking date. Once the Agreement is e-signed by all parties and deposit paid the event is secured.
-What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a 4-hour event minimum this equates to a minimum charge of $120 per staff per event.
For events with 2 or more staff, our standard base prices start at $30/hour per event staff for buffet style events and $37/hour/staff for seated plated dinners
1 staff events start at $35/hour
Bartenders start at $40/hour
Our base prices are based on our staff's time not the services we will perform. An event's guest count does not impact the price. However, it does factor into determining the appropriate number of staff needed to efficiently service your event.
The earlier you contact us the better. For bookings less than 2 days in advance we apply a Rush Staffing Fee of $25/staff or $150 whichever is lesser.
-What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You should be sure that the pro you hire is willing to learn and understand your event vision and agenda prior to your event. This is key for you to be able to minimize the need to manage and instruct staff the day of your event and maximize your time enjoying you friends, family, and guests.
-What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Customers who would like to have a staff operated buffet should think through how many dishes they will be serving. For example if your menu consists of 2 meat options and 4 side dish options you have 6 total dishes. Our standard staffing level is 1 staff for every 2 dishes. A buffet line of 6 dishes will require 3 staff to operate. If the budget does not allow for the proper staffing level the customer should consider a self-service buffet where guest serve themselves and staff attending/monitoring the buffet line.
