Gracie Day is a versatile singer/songwriter who is spreading her sound across New England. Her sweet, sultry voice captivates audiences and her lyrics whisk you away with stories and emotions.
"She has a tendency to melt hearts, turn heads, and make new fans with every performance." - Alicia Lyman ((link hidden))
Apart from her amazing original songs, Gracie Day does cover songs as well ranging from blues (Susan Tedeschi, Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Amy Winehouse), to folk (Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell), 70's rock (Rolling Stones, Beatles, Grateful Dead) to modern rock (Foo Fighters, Sublime, Smashing Pumpkins) to pop music (Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, Kacey Musgraves, Tove Lo).
Gracie Day was a fabulous part of our reception. She provided the perfect vibe and was ultra professional. We highly recommend booking her for any event and will do so again if the opportunity arises.
Gracie did such an amazing job. She arrived ahead of time and catered to the specific song requests. She sounded really good (the online videos and recordings are great and she sounds even better in person). By the end of the night everyone was cheering for an encore and everyone loved it. Would advise booking Gracie before she gets too famous to play local gigs! The next time me or my friends host a party, she'll be the #1 choice for entertainment.
Price Range: $150 +

Gracie is a solo artist who plays guitar and sings. Depending on the client, she will tailor her performance to the venue and the clientele. She can do original songs, indie music, top 40 hits, oldies, or miscellaneous covers. However, no matter the style, Gracie is a pleasure to listen to. The music is not abrasive, it is relaxing and adds positive vibes enhancing the atmosphere. She is a jack of all trades; She can be background coffee shop music, a more entertaining storyteller, or a leader of top 40 drunken singalongs.
There is also the option of a full band. Drums, bass, guitars and violin.
Alone, she has a small sound system and usually stands while she performances, dancing along to the sway of her guitar.
She plays anywhere up to 3.5 hours. She requires 1 to 2 10-minute breaks.
Gracie Day grew up with guitars in her house. Her aunt was a folk artist in the 70's and sang around New York state. Even as a toddler, Gracie always loved to sing, but when she first heard her Aunt Judy sing "Bobby Magee," she secretly wished to become a professional singer when she grew up. She kept that dream to herself and only played, sang and wrote privately, using her love for music as an emotional outlet. A shy child, and an insecure teenager, Gracie had no idea she was good at music until finally, the positive comments added up enough to push her out the door and into the world. She has been playing out for about 2 years now and this past summer really started to make a mark in Connecticut. She continues to writes songs and is in the process of recording her first E.P. in a recording studio. Keep an eye out!
Provided sound is always preferred, but she can bring her own speakers and equipment. As a solo artist, space is not a problem. If you would like the full band, there would need to be enough room for a full drum kit, two more guitarists and a bassist.
