Quality Hip-Hop Your Mom Would Be Proud Of. Bringing light to dark places through positive, inspirational, culturally-relevant entertainment.
If you ever get the opportunity to meet Gospel and his sweet wife, consider yourself blessed. We could not have hoped or prayed for a better experience to provide our families at out annual Christmas memorial service at the funeral home. Many of these families showed up feeling lost, sad, and confused and were able to walk out of the building with lifted spirits, refreshed faith, and high hopes for their grief journey. A truly life changing experience for so many people. We were truly blessed to have you two here!
What to Expect
What to expect when booking me is a high-energy, inspiring, encouraging, passion-filled live show that your mom would be proud of. I will show up at least 2 hrs before for set up/sound check and stay after to meet as many members of the audience as possible. When on stage I make it a personal goal to give everything I have for a memorable experience.
Gospel Igwe is an individual who deeply believes in "bringing light to dark places" through culturally-relevant, God-honoring Hip-Hop as "Gospel Lee." He has spent time carefully crafting his raw, energetic, emotional sound into one of unbridled passion; as heard in gospel lee's razor-sharp, rapid-fire delivery. His sound possesses a progressive sense of responsibility that is completely unashamed. His custom delivery evokes the passion of NF mixed with the boldness of Lecrae.
Gospel Lee translates this custom delivery and relentless passion into profoundly simple lyrics that birth conscious thought in the listener and foster meaningful questions. The lyricism of gospel lee in a live context is a high-energy, expressively emotional experience that is raw, yet vulnerable without abandon. Another element that distinguishes his live show is his uncanny freestyling prowess, composing entire songs from audience-selected topics spontaneously. At its conclusion, there is nothing left on stage except sweat and broken pretenses.
In 2015 Gospel Lee released his sophomore EP "Brilliant", which earned him his first Billboard debut on multiple charts. "From the cover art to the last song, it's the best thing we have ever done and a great example of God's faithfulness," says Lee about the new project. 2017 marked an amazing opportunity for Gospel Lee pairing up with video streaming giant YouTube for their "Nashville Sessions" music video series.
It is this belief in "bringing light to dark places" expressed through the art of Hip-Hop & emotionally honest lyricism that has allowed Gospel Lee to open up for some of his inspirations and influences such as Switchfoot, Manafest, KJ-52, Trip Lee, and most notably Grammy Award-winning artists Lecrae & Tobymac. Gospel Lee is a native of Oklahoma.
