"Gary Wooten's Low Standards" is a musical endeavor by San Luis Obispo, CA based eight-string guitarist Gary Wooten. The term "Low Standards" refers to the performance of familiar songs, or "Standards" on an eight-string, or "Low" guitar which encompasses the full range of a guitar and bass on one instrument. Creating the perfect ambience for everything from wineries, weddings, dinner parties, small venues and everything else in-between, and performing songs that are instantly recognizable and easily palatable for wide audiences and can be catered to specific events, Gary Wooten's Low Standards is the perfect musical enhancement to your next special occasion.

Gary is a professional eight string hybrid guitarist/bassist who has studied guitar for over 40 years and performed over 4,000 shows in all genres and venues from NFL stadiums to the Grand Ole Opry and almost every fair, festival, and bar in-between. With a brand new CD out as of 11/23, Gary has just recently returned to booking through Gig Salad and is currently available for live performances on California's beautiful central coast and surrounding area.
As a single instrumental guitarist Gary's footprint is small and only requires enough space for a small PA, music stand, and stool to perform on - in total less than 8 sq ft.
