Gary Cross (acoustic guitar) has been entertaining audiences throughout the Midwest for over 35 years. He has performed at countless Fireman’s Picnics, County Fairs, Festivals, Rodeos & Horse Fairs, Churches, Private Parties, Bars & Restaurants, Senior Centers and many other venues, as well as Milwaukee’s Summerfest. With the Cedar Creek Band he opened for Marshall Tucker, Desert Rose Band, Doug Kershaw and Tom Grant. Gary’s blend of country and contemporary music makes for an enjoyable and entertaining evening. He is a personable entertainer who gets his audience involved in the show.
Peter Eisenhauer (lead guitar, fiddle & mandolin) is the band's utility player and will grab most anything with strings and pick, pluck, scrape or poke at it until it makes a happy noise. He hails from West Bend, where he took his first guitar lessons with original Cedar Creek member Bob Schultz. His first paying gig was at the Washington County Fair, and he has played in numerous bands in the Milwaukee area, and in Arlington, Virginia. He also spent a number of years overseas and never left his guitar or fiddle behind. He was the co-founder of the largest (possibly only) country band in New Delhi, India, and brought American music to many festivals and concert stages.
Matt Leithold (bass) received his formal music training playing viola for 8 years and has been playing bass since in 8th grade. Since then, Matt has played in Country (Cedar Creek Band in early ‘80s) , Bluegrass (Det Forester in late ‘70s), Rock (Stagger Lee in late ‘70s and Matt Rondale in ‘90s), and wedding bands (Rumor for 00s) and appreciates each individual genre – “as long as it’s done well”. Matt and his family live in Kohlsville, USA. To support his music habit Matt works as an accountant, and believes this combination provides him a balance in life with art. In his spare time, Matt can be found in the field, caring for the land.
Chad Witty (banjo, concertina & lap steel) is a renowned veteran of the Milwaukee area bluegrass and country scenes. After studying the piano while growing up in New Berlin, Wi, Chad taught himself the banjo. Why?? Because it’s bluegrass, that's why! Then he set off on a mission to keep toes tappin' and people smiling playing with bluegrass bands like the Miltown Ramblers and Chicken Wire Empire, and with country stalwarts Tim Castle and Young Southern. He has played on major stages at Summerfest, the Wisconsin State Fair and Chocolate Fest among many others. Chad has also been a regularly featured solo artist and host of jam sessions at the Bremen Cafe and other area venues.
Gary Wiesner (drums) Gary began performing professionally at age 13. During the decades that followed, Gary has displayed his talents within many genres of music in thousands of National and European venues, including multiple performances at "The Grand Ole Opry" in Nashville, TN. Gary's educational, recording and
performance background includes: A degree in "Instrumental Music Education" from the University of Wisconsin, founding member of the rock band "Ukiah", long tenures with "The Moraine Symphony Orchestra", the state champion award winning country music band "Ida Red" and the multi-time W.A.M.I. award winning " Mr. Lucky Swing Syndicate". Gary's recording credits began as a teenager and include both live and studio albums with "Gary Cross and the Cedar Creek Band". No matter where the venue, no matter whom the audience, Gary's performance entails an enthusiastic, artistic and emotional approach which will surely provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for the audience.
