My name's Chris Reilly, and I'm a professional upright and electric bass player who just moved from Boston to Portland in October 2015. I've been playing bass for over 15 years, have a bachelor's degree in Music, and have played 1,000+ gigs and recorded 6 albums with various bands. In addition to playing with original bands, I also have extensive experience playing in wedding bands, corporate bands, and bar bands - in other words I love playing covers as well! I have a professional and friendly attitude but also like to have fun playing music. I particularly enjoy playing soul, R&B, funk, reggae, country, folk, Americana, pop, rock, Top 40, jazz, and latin.
Price Range: $125 and up
Gig Length: 30 - 250 minutes
What to Expect
I make it a priority to be professional and easy to work with. I love playing music and take it seriously, but I also like to have fun and to make sure the audience does as well.
I have reliable pro-level gear and transportation and come to the gig prepared, relaxed, and ready to play.
I have 15 years of experience on upright bass and electric bass and specialize in soul, R&B, funk, reggae, country, folk, Americana, pop, rock, Top 40, jazz, and latin genres. I also hold a bachelor's degree in Music from Connecticut College.
I'm available for gigs and recording sessions and am happy to do covers, originals, or a mix of both.
