Fractal Phoenix spins hoops, contact staff, dragon staff, poi, leviwand, and several types of fans. She also dabbles in contact juggling, fire eating, and a wide variety of dance styles to create a spectacular and unique array of fire and object manipulation. She enjoys developing a character for each performance and creates hand-made costumes for each event. She is professional, creative, and versatile. Find her at an afternoon wedding, performing with lighter-than-air silk fans for the bride, groom, and guests in a lake-side garden, or at a late-night DJ set, spinning fire in the center of a laser-filled dancefloor. Let's create something extraordinary for your next event!
I hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife. We had a live band and Fractal Phoenix performed live, alternating LED and Fire. She really worked with my vision by wearing the perfect costume, bringing the right energy, and complementing the theme of the event. Everyone was captivated, and this added an extra WOW factor. Not only were the performances fun, but she was kind and welcoming to our guests, who really wanted to meet her. I also thought that her price point was very reasonable, given the number of times that she came out to perform. Thanks Fractal Phoenix!
Would highly recommend. We had an outdoor event and the fire performance was a highlight of the evening. Professional and a joy to work with.

Grace Kalinosky is 25 years old from Litchfield, CT. She graduated in 2013 from American University in Washington, DC and received her degree in business, specializing in marketing and entrepreneurship. Trained as a child in ballet and figure skating, Grace first picked up a hoop at 20. Her interest in flow arts was piqued at a music festival, where she was entranced by the hoopdancers and poi spinners there. Once home, she promptly read as much as she could about the different types and sizes of hoops and purchased one of her very own. From there, Grace’s background and love of dance was born anew with the presence of this partner. In the winter of 2010, she dedicated herself to the art form wholeheartedly. Since then, she has immersed herself in wide variety of spinning arts and Fractal Phoenix was born.
While mostly self-taught, she has been fortunate to attend many workshops and fire/flow festivals led by the highest caliber of flow arts innovators. Grace finds herself constantly inspired by music, the art of movement, geometry, and the raw beauty of nature. She enjoys teaching hoopdance to children; 2016 will be her third year as a teaching artist with the After School Arts Program (ASAP) in Washington, CT, as part of their summer camp for students ages 4-13. She performs regularly at Alex Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in Wappingers Falls, NY and also in 2016 will be returning to Unifier Festival in Tolland, MA for her second year to perform for artists such as Emancipator, Desert Dwellers, and the Human Experience.
Past clients include Insomniac (Electric Daisy Carnival), the city of Danbury Connecticut, the Mayflower Inn & Spa, and Western Connecticut State University. She performs frequently throughout the tri-state area and beyond, and she can be at your next event by sending an email through GigSalad or through the 'Contact' page at www dot fractal phoenix dot com
