I am a Flamenco Singer and Guitarist based in Washington D.C. I sing and play Gipsy Rumba Flamenco and sing traditional Flamenco. My Gipsy Rumba Flamenco show's consists of guitarists and singers with a percussive style of rhythm.

The Flamenco shows consists of beautiful Flamenco dancers in traditional costumes, a guitarist, as well as a singer. Sound equipment is provided for both shows depending on the venue.

What to Expect
In a Gipsy Rumba Flamenco show expect two to three guitarist with two or three vocalist and one lead guitarist with a romantic rumba songs as well as up beat songs that makes the audience dance too.
In a flamenco show there is one lead guitarist with one singer, with one or two dancers, it depends on what the client would want. Both dancers in traditional flamenco costumes dancing on a wooden floor so the dancers foot work can be heard clearly.
Hector Jose Marquez
Hector Jose Marquez was born in Washington, DC. He was first exposed to flamenco through his father, Hector Marquez, Sr. Mr. Marquez started his flamenco education in Granada, Spain with Paco Valencia, who educated him on compas and the fundamentals of the flamenco guitar. He later traveled to Sanlucar de Barameda, Cadiz to further enhance his flamenco education, where he first studied cante with Rafael Bernal and most recently with Maestro Rafael De Utrera. It was only after attending one of Rafael Bernal’s concerts that Mr. Marquez discovered his vocation as a flamenco cantaor, and upon returning to the U.S. he began to work in local tablaos. Mr. Marquez has been worked with national flamenco figure, Edwin Aparicio and his company “Flamenco Aparicio” at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Creative Alliance, Center Stage, Gala Hispanic Theater, the Harman Hall, Instituto Cervanntes, and the Old Town School of Folk Music. Mr Marquez has also worked with Anna Menendez and her company “Pastora Flamenco”, Auxi Fernandez In Alegrias Tablao in New York City, singer Amparo “ La Rempompilla” Heredia, Natalia Monteleon and “Arte Flamenco”, and has performed in various local festivals as well. Mr. Margquez performed a week at the Kennedy Center with the Washington Ballet in Hemingway’s “The Sun Also Rises”. Mr. Marquez has worked with several guitarists and musicians that include: Richard Marlow, Behzad Habibzai, Miguelito Prez, Tobias Guzman, Francisco "Yiyi" Orozco, Tony Denis and Jimmy Wilson. Mr. Marquez now performs locally, nationally and internationally.

We provide sound and lighting for all of our shows with some exceptions (Ex. if a certain venue already has sound).
For the Flamenco show a wooded floor or a piece or wood should be provided. If the stage is not provided we can provide one con tact for more info.
For a Flamenco show there are two 45 min sets with a 30 min break in between each set .
For the Gipsy Rumba Flamenco show there are two to three 45min sets with a 30min break in between each set.
