What to Expect
There are a number of things you can expect when partnering with Fish Sticks Comedy for your next event: (1) no diva moments -- we're in it to help you accomplish your goals for the event, and we are at your service; (2) consistent, high level comedy -- we've done over 1,000 shows as a team, and together have well over 10,000 professional improv shows under our collective belts; (3) a thoughtful partner in planning out your event; (4) positive experience with your audience -- they'll not only have fun, but we don't ever have fun at someone's expense; (5) repeatable, unique experiences - no two shows are ever alike; (6) flexibility to fit the timetable and structure of your event; and (7) complements on your choice of bringing in the tender, flaky, funny comedy of Fish Sticks!
The story of Fish Sticks is being written all over again with the coming together of the original Fish Sticks Comedy based in Milwaukee with long-standing, Dallas-based HIMprov in 2016. This type of thing just doesn’t happen as most improv groups stagnate and fade away — but the combination of two growing, active, energetic troupes of professional improvisers enables us to better further our shared vision for bringing people together through improvisational comedy. It’s one team focused on serving our show hosts and audiences well — and we know the results will be amazing.
Additional Booking Notes
To set things up for maximum impact, you would want to have quality audio and lighting. Audio would involve wireless over-the-ear or lapel mics for each comedian (we usually travel with 3-4 comedians) and one or two handheld mics (wired or wireless, doesn't matter) and a connection for music cues or a keyboardist/musician. We can provide more detailed information following booking.
For lighting, a bright stage is best. Audience lighting can be lower, but because of the interactive nature of our shows, we will need to be able to see the audience for certain aspects of the show.
We can be flexible with staging, but the best staging will be a clear, rectangular area with about 10-12 feet depth and about 20 feet width. Bumpout areas can be worked with, but are not preferred. Raised stages work best. Usually there is no need to move everything off stage (i.e., drum kits, etc.).
If video projection is available and not needed for audience viewing (usually recommended for audiences over 750 or so), we have video loops that can serve as an attractive backdrop.
Speakers and Soundboard appropriate for audience size (can be provided for additional cost)
3-4 Wireless Over-the-Ear/Lapel Mics (can be provided for additional cost)
