What I like most about face painting is that it allows me to be creative. No two days are ever the same! I get to meet tons of people of different ages, and it's just so much fun! I love the fact that I am providing "joy"... It's all about the look on a person's face when they check themselves out in the mirror; they are happy and transformed into a favorite character/animal/etc...
I love children (I have four of my own), and I love painting and art altogether. I am so lucky to be able to mesh the two, and do this for a living! I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE my job!!!!
I wish that everyone would know the difference between FDA approved face paints and "craft" paints. A professional face painter like myself, will only use cosmetic-grade paints and body glitters on your skin! Never craft paints or craft glitters which are irritating, they look and feel terrible, and are absolutely unsafe! Most people will have ill reactions to such paint, but a lot of people don't know the difference.
There's a great face painter's community in our area, and wonderful talent! My advice would be to consider your budget, the style of painting you like when researching provider's websites, hire someone that is dependable and will be there on time. And, it's a good idea to book in advance to ensure the availability of your chosen artist! And of course, I would love for you to chose me for your face painting needs!
