Lead vocalist, keyboardist, saxophonist and frontman, Dave Espeut produced and released his first CD “Revelation” in August of 2011 and is now working on a follow up project with his band The HammerFunk. Having grown up singing and playing alto saxophone in gospel, jazz, and classical styles, Dave is no stranger to wide spectrums of vocal emotion. After many early years of performing in schools, churches, banquet halls, seniors homes and at parties, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto. During his years at U. of T., he was mentored by such jazz heavies as Paul Read, Alex Dean, Tim Ries and Dave Young. His voice is often compared to that of Usher, he listens to many other artists including Brian McKnight, Mariah Carey and KC and JoJo.
Sam fell in love with music at the age of 4, as a young drummer. Although he landed a gig as a snare drummer in the local marching band, he was quickly drawn to keyboards and guitar. Sam’s passion for music has spread to his family and friends like wildfire. Sam loves to make music and whenever an opportunity presents itself, Sam can be heard saying “I am there”, whether the gig is playing cover songs, praise and worship or at outdoor festivals and around the campfire. Sam's diversified style has been developed through his thirst to improve his skills while listening to many of the guitar masters from the past and today's rock heroes. Recently Sam had the opportunity to open for Emerson Drive while performing with Icy Redd and he currently performs with Dave Espeut and The HammerFunk.
John Wakaluk - Lead Vocalist, Synth and Bassist, has many years of gigging experience with bands such as: Broken Symbol, Under Construction and Centerlane. He had the privilege of opening for bands such as Kim Mitchell, Blue Rodeo, Downchild Blues Band and Honeymoon Suite. He spent many nights over the years playing in the polka bands: Sokoly and Chayka and is the Founder and Director of the gospel quartet Change of Scene.
Dennis spent almost 20 years living in Windsor where the sweet sounds of Motown were heard on a daily basis. Dennis is featured on recordings by Danny Bronsen and the Kawartha Jazz Ensemble. For over 35 years he has performed with various artists as a freelance musician, including members of Gowan, Big Sugar and Honeymoon Suite. Performing in almost all genres of music from jazz to drums corps and orchestral to rock “n” roll. He studied with Canada's top drummers including the explosive David James and jazz master Marty Morell. As a music festival adjudicator, he enjoys coaching our future musicians as he travels across Canada to participate in various festivals. As an educator, his graduates have been featured at the Air Canada Centre, with Cirque du Soliel, on the David Letterman Show and as musicians for Brad Paisley, Steel Magnolia, Steven Curtis Chapman and other internationally known artists. Recently Dennis had the opportunity to open for Emerson Drive.
