What to Expect
Sandra Moulin plays the role of the woman behind the composer. She will introduce herself in French dressed in character, and she will narrate the scandalous tale of the pair. She will tell their story with flair and humor, including anecdotes and fascinating details. Between the narrative sections, she will perform the composer's works on the grand piano. Musical selections include short well-known works by the composer, each described historically and musically and performed passionately. The story unfolds chronologically and includes a background providing the audience with an historical framework of the composer's homeland as well as that of America during that period. Sandra's performance is educational, inspirational and entertaining. It is a one-of-a-kind show not to be missed.
I am a retired French and Humanities teacher from Michigan. I have been a performer since my first piano recital at age 6. During my 30+ year career as an educator, I have run numerous workshops, delivered dozens of speeches and performed concerts to audiences of all sizes and ages. I have been a Toastmaster for several years where I have won local and regional contests. I continue to speak and compete regularly.
Since retiring, I have written three books, run several fundraising events, chaired many university committees, taught and tutored French and public speaking, and I have performed my Dramatic Musilogue a dozen times for small "salon" parties as well in concert halls.
I have traveled widely in Europe and lived in France for short periods of time while studying French and immersing myself in the language and culture. French is a vital component of my one-woman show.
I am married and have four daughters and 10 grandchildren.

Influences & Inspiration
I was influenced in creating my one-woman show by a literary scholar, Mr. Eliot Engel and a dramatic performer, Ms. Joyce Greer, both from North Carolina.
I also admire Hershey Felder, a marvelous concert pianist and actor.
