The return of Supreme Swedish Death ‘n‘ Roll
Sweden remains a real fertile ground for brilliant Rock ‘n‘ Roll acts. With the three guys from JESUS CHRÜSLER SUPERCAR another hot band set off on their crusade towards Europe last year. With their release “Among The Ruins And Desolate Lands” the 2011 founded and Stockholm-based threesome delivered a dirty and hard album that really kicks your ass. They now continue their path with their new 7” EP “Full Blown Hell” in brute force. Their supreme Swedish Death ‘n‘ Roll makes them sound like a true bastard of Entombed and Motörhead.
Like its predecessor “Among The Ruins And Desolate Lands”, the band decided to once again enter the legendary Sunlight Studios to work with Tomas Skogsberg who had a big impact on acts such as Entombed, The Hellacopters or the Backyard Babies. The two new lighthouses “Full Blown Hell” and “God Gave Us Nothing” attest that it was the right choice: the producer managed to give JESUS CHRÜSLER SUPERCAR that much-loved dry old school sound that bangs from the speakers with sufficient timely pressure. Besides their door-opening music video “Killing Machine” which had been released in fall 2012, the video clip on their song “Pitchfork” also caused a furor. But the Swedes did not get lazy but worked on a new music video which will come out with the release of their small black vinyl.
The title track brings back memories of the best moments from “Among The Ruins And Desolate Lands”. Crisp and straight Death ‘n‘ Roll clubs you straight on the head! JESUS CHRÜSLER SUPERCAR use chaotic melody-hooks which lend their sound an autonomous note. The dirty-doomy “God Gave Us Nothing” clearly shows that the band is developing as the song could also fit on an album by Black Label Society or Down. Fans of rough Rock ‘n‘ Roll will definitely find their home here – they should make sure to quickly get a copy of the 7” EP at their trusted vinyl dealer when “Full Blown Hell” will be released on 26th April 2014 via vönHell Records/Sound Pollution. The EP is limited to 300 copies and features a cool cover artwork in form of a B-movie poster from the 1960s made by illustrator Marc Schönn of Maximum Black.
Press Quotes:
(link hidden) So you guys get ready for some top notch, trashy and in your face old school Death ‘n‘ Roll that will ’cause some serious neck injuries. (link hidden) Where most rock bands head down the highway in hotrods or on Harleys, this supercar is more like a tank, with flames and skulls painted on the side. Rock ‘n‘ Roll as a weapon of mass destruction. (link hidden) “Among The Ruins And Desolate Lands“ is a piece of grimy genius that has come from outta nowhere … but is definitely going places. JESUS CHRÜSLER SUPERCAR – remember the name … as if you could ever forget it.
