With a Bachelor's degree in French, minor in Theatre, from Georgia Southern and training from University of Arts in Philadelphia, Dionna moved to Atlanta to fulfill her life goal of spreading the meaningful stories of those who deeply need to be understood. Among many theatre projects, as an actor she's helped tell the stories of Vietnam Veterans in "Piece of My Heart," mourning parents through "On Dragonfly Wings," victims of Hurricane Katrina in a special edition of "The Vagina Monologues," morally abused teachers in Atlantan Topher Payne's "Evelyn in Purgatory," mistreated Blacks in the South of "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Big River," and the sorrowful mothers lamenting their fallen children in Atlantan Paris Crayton III's heartfelt piece, "Broken." She has even embodied the powerful spirit of Harriet Tubman in a new musical "Underground" in February 2016, telling the story of many of our ancestors' internal conflict with craving survival, unity and true freedom as interpreted by DuPont Productions. She is currently a member of The Murder Mystery Company, improvising various characters during a dinner theatre with a death or two to solve.
