Deidra Hall came out of her mama singing, literally. She was a variable prodigy singing along with radio hits before she could even talk! Its no surprise considering that her father is none other than Robert Hall, founding member of the band Black and Blue, best known for their 1969 hit single "Of All The Hearts To Break". Her mother Arlene Hall, joined the band later. Needless to say, Deidra grew up surrounded by music and trained from early on to be a professional. She began doing fashion shows for the major department store Belk at 6 months old and continued on into early adult hood. At the age of seven she began training in French, Russian, and American styles of ballet, tap, jazz and international styles of dance at the Cultural Arts center in her home town of Greensboro NC under the instruction of Debbie Chzneizche and Natalia Davidson. Her talent as a tap dancer was widely recognized within the dance community and she was selected to perform with world renound tap dancer Gregory Hines who was forced to cancel the performance after the unfortunate diagnosis of pancreatic cancer which very shortly there after, lead to his untimely death. That didn't slow her spirit, and Deidra went on to dance in many company productions including a lead role in Alice and Wonderland, playing Alice's trusted kitty companion Dinah. Deidra kept dancing and singing well into her teen years, as well as auditioning for shows like, Americas Most Talented Kids, and American Idol. She even had great interest shown in her talent by early 00's top recording label Trans Continental Records. Deidra performed in several musical productions at her highschool, which include Beauty and the Beast, Guys and Dolls, and several music revues where she performed 1-3 solos per show. Being born a raised a southern belle, Deidra also participated in several beauty pageants in which she always placed in the to 5, and even won the title of 1st runner up 3 times consecutively. Deidra performed in talent shows, open mics, and local singing competitions from around the age of 13 up through adulthood, even making it into the top five of Greensboro's own Triad Idol in the summer of 2007. The same year, Deidra began attending Warren Wilson College for Creative Writing for the sake of enhancing her song writing skills. She later transferred to North Carolina Agricultural and State University to be closer to home. Deidra didn't slow down on her music at all during this time, still performing in open mics every chance she got. In 2013 Deidra began booking her own musical performances at venues around Greensboro, and also taking her dance skills on the road to music festivals all around the east coast as a hoop dancer/flow artist, performing with acts such as Ott, Eoto, Keller Williams, and The Mantras. In 2016 after expanding her repertoire to include Yoga Teacher, and bored with how slowly her musical career was moving, Deidra made the bold decision to relocate 3,000 miles to Nevada City California where she currently resides. Since then, Deidra has performed at open mics all over northern California, participated in the Nevada City Stars artist showcase, The Femme de la Creme women's talent showcase, she has been interviewed and performed her own original music on Nevada county's local radio station KVMR, She has even been a featured performer on the local Nevada city television. Deidra recently sang the National Anthem at the Sacramento Rivercats game at Raley Feild, and is performing at tasing rooms, cafes, and restaurants all over Northern California. She is also a featured singer for the Camptonville Communtiy Talent Showcase. Deidra Hall is truly as star in the making.
