omg you guys were awesome!! first time seeing you and can't wait til the next time!!!
had a nice evening tonight. The guys were funny and witty.. and glad they used my line for what "grandma's" issue was...
I thought Improv was a great performance. I was told they are different each time they perform, I'm curious to see them again to see what other kind of acts they'll do. It sure lifted my spirits with my husband being deployed. Kudos to everyone & everyone who participated!
My wife and I purchased tickets from groupon for dont break the streak. We had been to the comedy zone a few times to see national comedians who came to town and always had a good time. We were very pleased with the quality of the show! The comedians were coming up with stuff just from things people were suggesting from the audience and everyone in the room loved it! We were there on July 10th and there must have been about 100 people in the audience. My wife and I had a great evening and are looking forward to going back soon. Great job everyone. You really exceeded our expectations of what we THOUGHT we were coming to see! I highly recommend you go see this fabulous show while they're in the area!
I went for the first time this weekend, and saw Don't break the streak perform at the Harrisburg comedy zone. The stuff they came up with from things people yelled out left my sides in pain from laughter! I will definitely be back to another show soon! Great show everyone!
I've seen these guys multiple times at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone and I always have one hell of a time at their shows
I saw Don't Break the Streak a few days ago, and they put on an awesome show! It was really impressive to see what they did with the ideas from the audience. No matter what suggestions they were given they turned it into something hilarious! I laughed nonstop the whole time. After the show the cast even took the time to talk to people and thank everyone for coming. It really made us feel like we were part of the show! I will DEFINITELY be going to see them again!!
I was in charge of this event and the hiring of Don'tbreakthestreak and would like everyone to know that the Hotel Hershey was very apologetic. DON'T BREAK THE STREAK left early - it not my choice but theirs and not sure of the amount they charge per show - but there were approximately 150 - 200 tickets given to us - which will most likely go unused as to my knowledge no one took any - so if there is any loss on your part it was NOMINAL as they were paid for their "performance" in advance. It's a shame that they are trying to put down a "first class" venue such as the Hotel Hershey - they are just way outclassed.....
Response from Don't Break the Streak Improv:
We gave the client 200 tickets valued at $10 each and each ticket was good for three upcoming shows, to make up for the sound issues we ran into. The company providing sound gave us the equipment and went home. Very bad show indeed. The president of the organization was aware of the sound issues and was also aware we were leaving after the first half because of it. Check out all of our other reviews to get a TRUE picture of how our show is rated.
I went to see DBTS this past weekend and loved it! This week they did a "throwdown" with the Oxymorons, and it was hilarious. I've seen them before on their own and enjoyed it just as much. The great thing about watching improv, especially DBTS, is how the performers have to wing it so much and then see the things they come up with when they do so. These guys do a great job of taking a general premise, letting the audience decide the details, and then taking it from there. I had a great time watching them feed on each other and try to top each other at the same time. This is a show I highly recommend.
Don't Break the Streak is an amazing group of talented, hilarious individuals. It's safe to say I was blown away by their quick wits and attention to detail in the many improv games they showcased. Don't Break the Streak made my night fun; I will surely check out more gigs of theirs in the future!
Our improv troupe, the Oxymorons, has often performed and watched Don't Break the Streak. We are always impressed by their talent and comedic skills. They have a great understanding of improv, they work well with crowds, they have a variety of games and performers, and you are guaranteed to have a good time. We can't recommend them enough, and always look forward to sharing the stage with them.
Don't Break the Streak are a well oiled entertainment machine when it comes to putting together a comedy show, a musical show, a 3-day festival, or just taking the stage and letting it rip for a live audience. They are a group of bright and talented show biz professionals.
Awesome show, and crew. I haven't laughed so hard in awhile. I had to go home and change my pants after the show.
I have been going to see DBTS for about 2 months now and every week I leave there in pain from laughing so much. The actors are all very quick-witted and they work from audience suggestions and in some of the bits will even pull people from the audience to participate. I highly suggest seeing them several times so you can really tell that none of this is scripted. Their Sunday evening show has now become one of the highlights of my week
These guys really know how to do improv. I was so impressed with their comic timing and just general wit. The games were well paced and fun and they shared the stage well together and chose the right suggestions from the audience to get the most comedy out of them. I did improv for 4 years in college and these guys are better than my troupe ever was, that's for sure!!!
A completely histerical show. I go to the show every Sunday and I leave with my abs hurting a little from laughing so much. It is sort of like 'Who's line' on TV but I think they actually do better. If you want a truly one of a kind show that will having you laughing as you leave I would suggest to go to a show. With me going every week I can honestly say I haven't had one show that was the same. They have done the same 'games' but all of the content is different week to week.
OK THIS was a 5 star performance. The fact that these people were able to keep me laughing one moment to the next was fabulous! I was with a skeptic who actually laughed!! IMAGINE THAT!! GO SEE DO WATCH LAUGH ENJOY any way you can.. this group is going places!!!!!!!
I was at the show a week ago and I must say I was pretty apprehensive about it. I knew of comedy improv shows from my time in college and from seeing programs like "Whose Line is it Anyway?" on television. Because of this I figured I knew what to expect, I was wrong. Many of the showpieces were in fact variations of games played on high profile TV shows and I think that draws the audience to come see it as they are familiar with the format. The show is divided into two parts and the second half of the show is dedicated to creating scenes based on an audience interview where the cast discusses an experience of a willing audience member's interesting day, week, month, etc. Following that the cast then creates little skits based upon the interview, making light of the various situations described previously. It's a lot of fun to see what these guys come up with off the top of their heads. I found it to be very creative and incredibly funny. I did some research of this format online and found many video clips of "long-form" improv comedy and DBtS is right up there in talent and quality with many of the numerous clips I've found. I encourage everyone to see the show at least 5 times to see fine examples of different directions this show can really go. I was also at the show last night and nearly hyperventilated from laughing so hard, and I mean that with the upmost sinncerity. Thank you DBtS for making my night two weeks in a row, I will be back!

I have been going to Don't Break the Streak shows since December and they are the most fun that you can have on Sunday evening. If you are into improv comedy or any kind of comedy, this is definitely a group that you need to check out. Nothing is ever the same show to show, they are always different. One that never changes is that they are always hilarious. You will laugh from the time the show starts, until the show is over. Everyone should go see Don't Break the Streak to support something great.
My husband took me to see Don't Break the Streak a few weeks ago and I must say, it was so much more fun than plain old dinner and a movie! The cast actually used one of my suggestions for their game! Maybe next time I come back, I'll have the guts to get on stage with them! If you haven't seen them already, you really must!
These guys are hilarious. I saw them once, and I keep checking out their website for new clips every week. Next time I can get a group together, we're definitely coming out sunday!
This group definitely has what it takes to make it. Smart, talented, hilarious, and dedicated. I wasn't sure what I was getting into by attending a show, but I left still laughing. It's a great time for a date night, or with a group of friends. I'm definitely coming back to more shows when I get the chance.
This group typifies the meaning of ensemble chaos! Structured mayhem and planned hysteria! All somewhat oxymorons for a tremendously funny and talented group that keeps you laughing and excited with anticipation for the next round of fun! Always new, Always changing.. I have seen several shows now and everytime is a joyful surprise of quick witted repartee!! GO! SEE! ENJOY!!
I go to the show every Sunday and laugh my self to tears every time. These guys really have talent when it comes to comedy!
I loved it!! We're gonna go one Sunday every month. We're hoping more of our frieds join us!!
I thought they were AMAZING! I had such a good time! I actually had tears in my eyes through the entire show! And I thought the free T-shirt idea was hilarious if not a little chaotic. These guys are really a must see!
I go to the show every weekend and I love it every week. The show is never the same week to week and it is always a million laughs. I love comedy and these guys are some of the funniest people I have ever met. It would be no surprise if they make it far with their show. I expect good things to come from the Don't Break the Streak cast. If you ever get a chance to see the show take the opportunity.
Saw you at a charity fund raiser last November. You did a fundraiser for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape. Very funny night! I never saw an improv show before and didn't really know what to expect. I went to support the charity but wound up coming back to see you again. I'll be back around the last week in June. Hope to catch you then!
If you ever have the opportunity to see this group live DO IT! The entire audience was laughing so hard they were crying! I loved the slide show bit they did where everyone posed and then one of the cast described what was going on in the picture! Funny stuff. Thanks for the fun night!
The Harvest Moon tavern brought Don't break the streak to Snow Hill for a comedy dinner night. The show was great and everyone had an excellent time! Can't wait to see them again. I felt like part of the show!
I watch the videos regularly as the new ones are posted. I love the unpredictable, spontaneous humor that catches one off guard. I wish this group much success!
I have the privilege of seeing many comedy acts come through my club, but none like Don’t Break the Streak, the comedy-improv group that performs here each week.
They are fast-paced and hilarious. I don’t know how they do it, but they come up with a new show every week that has audiences coming back for more.
I recommend them to any venue that’s looking for a great show that will have audiences roaring with laughter.

Anyone who has ever seen the popular TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" will have an idea of how the show works. The cast takes suggestions from the audience and they build the entire 90 minute show from those ideas. Because of this format, the entire show is completely different every time we do a show! The first half is what we call "short form games" like on the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and the second half of the show is a long form format and can be created with a simple one word suggestion from the audience.
We are also known for a game we created called "You Idiot!" where we invite the venue to have five to seven unique, not easily identifiable objects ready for the cast. At show time, right when the "You Idiot" game begins, the cast is given the objects one at a time and they must describe what the item is until one of them comes up with an answer that everyone agrees on. It's a club favorite on the road!
Don't Break the Streak (DBtS) Comedy Theater has a weekly running 90 minute show Sundays, 6PM at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone. With over 100 performances under their belt since November 1st, 2009, you can't go wrong with Don't Break the Streak. Check our reviews and watch our videos then give us a call! (phone number hidden)
We can work with pretty much anything. We try to be very flexible and work within any budget. In some cases, we'll contract with a minimum guarantee and do a 60/40 door split with DBtS getting 60% of the door or $1,200.00 whichever is higher. We'll do this for smaller venues of less than 100 seats. In most cases the cast will drive to your venue. If you would like to book us for a venue outside our 3 hour drive limit, airline, hotel and meal arrangements must also be made for 7 people (with 4 double occupancy rooms) to cover our expenses.
40-45 minutes: A series of five to seven short form improv games
10 - 15 minute intermission
30-40 minutes: Long form with either "A day in the life" or a comedy play created from a single suggestion from the audience
We have our own sound system. Please let us know if you need us to bring it with us.
