Able to perform any type of music and will learn songs you request. Besides playing solo, I am in 3 bands and have a repertoire of Celtic music, jazz standards, blues, soul, old-time, bluegrass, and acoustic Americana. I can play classical wedding favorites as well.
Guitar is my main instrument but I also play mandolins and banjos.
Dave Stewart (Ridgetop Dave) is a musician who lives deep in the Appalachian Mountains, in Franklin NC since the late 90's. He started playing electric guitar as a rocker in the 70's but branched out to blues, jazz, classical, folk and bluegrass. The latter was mainly influenced by his sister, Helen, who was involved in old-time and bluegrass music with her guitar and bass, as well as being in the Green Grass Cloggers. Dave started learning the banjo around 1976 and still plays it. More recently he learned the mandolin and now plays solo and with his bands using all three instruments. Dave has even started playing country music from the influence of Judy, his wife. He's also a songwriter and started a songwriter's community in Franklin.
I can bring my own PA system for small to medium venues for up to about 300 people. For larger venues we would need an appropriate sound system. Since I play solo, or as a duo, or trio, or 5-piece band, the space requirements vary.
Will learn any song you would like....
