Kristy Dalelio-Biography
Kristy made her singing debut on stage at the age of 2 1/2, on her parent’s bandstand, with the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Kristy Dalelio was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Since the age of 5, she has performed in her church choir and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Starting at age 6, Kristy was given the opportunity to sing and perform at various large scale functions, including The UFT (United Federation of Teachers) Annual Conference (Princeton, NJ) and The Democratic Party's Annual Fundraiser (Cleveland, OH), among others.
Kristy received vocal training from her mother, a professional vocalist, since she was 6. Her dance training began at The Horizon School of Dance and The Ballet Center in Brooklyn. To continue her education in music, Kristy auditioned and was accepted for the Vocal Music Program at Edward R. Murrow High School. Her instruction included music theory, piano, choir, acting, dance and musical theatre. Her vocal program at Edward R. Murrow encompassed Jazz, Classical, Opera and Broadway. It was here that she honed her performance skills in many theatrical and concert style productions. It was in high school that Kristy began singing in Italian, German, French and Spanish. Kristy graduated from Adelphi University, Suma cum laude, with a degree in Sociology and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work.
In 2006, Kristy and her mother Kathi decided to start their own music entertainment group, New York Metro Music, which caters to special events and large-scale parties. Their singing duo, “Two Sopranos” has branched out their company, with Broadway and Jazz, doing concert style shows. More recently they are focusing on their latest endeavor “Crossroads”, in which they perform classic favorites from all genres of music and perform at Weddings and private events of all types in the New York/Tri-State area.
Kristy was featured vocalist on the recording of, "Il Mio Cuore Triste," an original song that she co-wrote with her father, Danny Dalelio, as a radio promotion for the famous Italian restaurant Patsy’s in Manhattan.
In 2011 and 2012, Kristy was a featured artist in the Annual Fort Greene Jazz Festival, in Brooklyn, NY.
