Craig Allen is a Minneapolis-based stand-up comic and corporate performer. His smart, sarcastic style has made him a favorite at a wide array of venues ranging from comedy clubs and universities, to Fortune 500 boardrooms, to biker bars, to most recently, a nudist resort!
With over 15 years of experience, Craig Allen has become a go-to entertainer for company and holiday party planners. They appreciate that Craig does his homework before an event. When possible, he tailors some material specifically to the company or industry, making audiences feel that he truly knows them. His writing skills have also made him a highly-sought after emcee and roastmaster.
Craig was a perfect fit for our party! He had some really good jokes and kept the crowd involved. Would highly recommend him!
Craig put on a very funny performance that everybody enjoyed. He was the best comedian/performer we have ever hired!
Price Range: Rates vary on show length and customization.
Gig Length: 15 - 60 minutes
The audience can expect a well-written, funny show. The show is meant for grown-ups, but is not adult (X-rated). Knowing that most companies are very diverse in nature, Craig steers clear of polarizing topics such as racism, sexism, religion and politics and is careful to watch his language.
"Craig did an excellent job at holding our group's attention for over an hour! His material was clean, funny and original - thanks for an hour of laughs. It was great that he did his homework on the company and our products. He did a great job of poking fun at SPAM, etc. without being offensive. I would recommend him to anyone."
~ Larry Vorpahl, President, Hormel Foods
Craig can provide a stand-out hour of comedy for corporate events, private parties and any other type of special event. He offers two show options - a traditional TV-clean stand-up set OR a stand-up set with 5-10 minutes of material customized specifically for your group.
His writing skills have also made him a highly-sought after emcee and roastmaster, skewering individuals and celebrities at retirement parties, awards banquets and other milestone events.
When not headlining comedy clubs and casinos across the country, Craig can be found opening in concert for big names such as Dennis Miller, Josh Blue, Louie Anderson, Gilbert Gottfried and Tom Arnold.
Need a spotlight or microphone and sound system for your event? Craig has both and can include them as part of his price, saving you hundreds of dollars you might otherwise have to spend to rent that same equipment from your venue.
Extensive references and letters of recommendation are available on request. Before booking ANY comedian, be sure to ask them for recommendations from past performances.
Coming from a background in corporate management, Craig is professional in everything he does. From his onstage performance, to check-ins before the event, he makes sure that your event flows smoothly, knowing that what he does reflects directly on you. He is not a prima donna, and is very low maintenance. He realized that your event is not about him, but about your group and he will do whatever is needed to make your event a success.
If you request a customized show, Craig will work with you and your team to gather information on your competitors, key staff, your industry and any other information that he can weave into his program.
SOUND AND/OR LIGHTS: Microphone and sound system are requested for larger crowds or large rooms. For a smaller room, with a couple of dozen people, sound system is not necessarily required. Spotlight is nice, but again, not required. Craig owns his own sound system and light, so if you would like he can include that in his performance fee, possibly saving you hundreds of dollars to rent comparable equipment from the venue. When possible, getting the venue to dim some of the lights in the room before a performance does help create some intimacy with a crowd, and people always feel more comfortable laughing if they have some of the anonymity of darkness.
