Colonel Gunn's Wild West Music Show is a non-stop, fun filled musical tribute to some of yesteryears best memories. A combination of 60's and 70's classic rock and classic country pop music with a few good old fashioned cowyboy tunes from history, movies and televison shows thrown in for fun.
I saw Colonel Gun's Wild West Music Show at Fizz Bar, and it was such a fun experience! They played so many classic, feel-good songs, my friends and I couldn't help but dance and sing along. All of the members were incredibly talented, and interacted with the audience, making the show that much more incredible!
Until next time!
What an inventive concept! When you first see the band, you're not sure at all what to expect...is this a western show? Some sort of old-time reenactment group? You're intrigued and you're not sure why. Then, they gather on stage and the music begins floating through the air...and BAM! You're hearing some of your favorite classic rock songs mingled with the bits of country you were expecting and you find yourself singing along. The talent on stage is immense, the familiar tunes add a sense of comfort and the crowd falls into trance along with you. I was more than surprised by this awesome group and blown away by the incredible voices & visually-dynamic instrumentalists that only moments ago were working their way through the crowd in full western gear, eluding to nothing I could have been prepared for. What an wonderful idea!
Response from Colonel Gunn's Wild West Music Show:
Thank you so much for your feedback Rebecca. We really appreciate your kind words and are so glad that you enjoyed the show. I love the air of unpredictability in shows and we're glad that you do too. The members of the band are a talented bunch and I'm glad and lucky to have them on my team. The show is always evolving and each show is always a little bit different so's to make sure it doesn't get stale. Again thank you for the review and we hope to see you at another show soon!
I've seen Colonel Gunn's Wild West show a couple of times now and every time is a damn good show full of a great mix of fun songs we all know and love.
Part of what makes the show so good though is that Colonel Gunn and company don't just get up there in a t-shirt and a pair of jeans, they absolutely sell the visual aesthetic of what their name implies! Cowboys and Cabaret!
Energetic, fun, charismatic, and charming are just a few of the words I can think of to describe this versatile rock and roll experience.
