What to Expect
We are a lively group that enjoy traditional and modern Celtic folk fusion. Expect a good mixture ranging from Scotland the Brave to Johnny Cash. Our mixture of instruments include Small pipes, Guitar, Mandolin, Tin Whistle, Bodhran, Cajon (Box drum), Bongos, fife and even a didgeridoo (with some cow bell thrown in for good measure). We are a performance band and are well suited for Ceilidh, kitchen parties or gathering where people just want to stomp their feet or sing along to some good old Celtic folk tunes.
About
The band was formed by Ron Bacardi in 2015 as an offshoot to 'Dread Lochs' a quirky reggae Celtic fusion group made up of members of the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band. Most of the members of Clan Daestyn hail from The Sons including the Drum Major (Darren) the Bass Drummer (Ron), snare drummer (Victoria) and bagpipers (Pat, Krista and Dave). Laurie was seconded from the band "Hash Tags and adds spice to the Haggis.
Additional Booking Notes
We are a seven piece band and each performer provide their own mics and stands. We have our own sound board, speakers and monitor and require at least 2 AC power outlets. We need a minimum of 15 feet of space and some depth to be able to form a semi-circle (we need to keep and eye on each other). We do not provide lighting and require an hour for setup and sound check.
