My favorite comedic roles include emceeing, being an opening act, roasting, featuring and headlining. Occasionally, I enjoy weaving in different emotions into comedy routines including empowerment, inspiration and empathy. The best example I can compare my comedy to is Mike Birbiglia's blend of storytelling and jokes.
Did not read audience well. Content was very poor and was not what I was looking for at all. Offensive and inappropriate as well.
Response from Christine Horvath:
Hi Lauren, I’m sorry that you feel this way. Based on the conversation that we had before the event, I delivered what you asked for. You initially said “no content restrictions,” and then told me “PG-13,” which, in my defense, is a broad description. Plus, I asked if you wanted me to write custom content and you said “maybe a few jokes about sororities,” which I also provided. Lastly, I have experience with sororities and Alpha Phi specifically. I thought I had an idea of what to expect based on personal experience, but there was no way to know how very conservative this audience would be without specific direction from you. Even by reading the room, I can’t change who I am as a comic that drastically in the moment. The material I delivered was very similar to the material in my video on my profile, so to say that what I delivered is not what you were looking for seems unfair. Did you watch my video? As much as I have a responsibility to deliver for the client, bookers have a responsibility to book an act who is a good fit for the event.

What to Expect
You can expect me to be very flexible and enthusiastic to create whatever kind of vibe you'd like to have at your event. Expect me to ask you lots of questions about how I can best entertain your crowd and make you happy. I think of this relationship between comic and client to be more of a partnership, and together we can create something truly fun and engaging.
I am a pretty quick writer, so if you'd like me to write roast jokes or custom content, I'm happy to do that. I did a roast of Dolly Parton not too long ago, and the jokes were so fun to write, I considered becoming a strictly insult comic. I also have clean material, so if that's what you're looking for, you've got it!
